About this deal

You get a touch of softwood (cashmere) and musk with the base notes to enhance the pleasant dark atmosphere. Lalique Encre Noire Extreme Eau de Parfum was created by master perfumer Nathalie Lorson in 2015 who also did Bentley for Men Intense. Versatility: 8.0 (a dark fragrance that does not please everybody, although its class will overcome many barriers) seperti Batman di Gotham City specifically in the dark alley: grunge, grieving, mysterious and assertive.

Encre Noire delivers what it promises for sure. The very beginning does in fact smell like something one might associate with ink, but also filled me with a sense of impending doom in a way. It's very gothic and solemn. I decided to use it while going to the movie theater to watch Oppenheimer and it was perfectly fitted to the atmosphere of the story, so I guess it may tell you a lot about its nostalgic, but eerily gloomy fragrance profile. Glass became the medium in which Lalique concentrated his efforts for the rest of his life. Not limited to simply perfume bottles, he also designed architectural installations and hood ornaments for luxury automobiles. Ladies think this is a weird scent, to grassy to them. Most of the guys say 'dam its so good, that when I am smoking, this one cuts my smoke for sure'. I see this as a mature scent but in the sense of suiting someone well put together, rather than an old man! As a lawyer I could definitely imagine wearing this to the office with a navy suit and crisp white shirt and it emitting confidence without being shouty.

There have been four other official releases from this highly successful line up to this date, and most of them are easily obtained. It smelled precisely like some dude coming in from a smoke break outside, plus a faint trace of his generic cologne. Lalique is an old French glassmaker company from the 19th century and their first perfume Lalique de Lalique came out in 1992. Nonetheless, as glassmakers, they were always closely related to perfumery. Lalique Story The flacon for itself is very beautiful and successful, only somehow the DNA does not fit the color scheme. The color indigo I simply do not associate with the fragrance. Felt this bottle would rather fit a dark, maritime perfume.

Nature, in the Gothic, is often the symbol for that which is sublime and, accordingly, that which is transcendental and extraordinary. The symbol is underscored in the absence of God, faith, and religion and its institutions from the text. Lalique is a French glasswear design house founded by artist, master ceramist and jeweler René Lalique. Born in the small village of Ay in 1860, and raised in both Paris and Ay, young René developed a fascination with the natural world which would fully express itself in later artworks. He formally studied art at College Turgot, but was forced to leave when his father passed away. At age 12, he began an apprenticeship with a Parisian goldsmith, catching classes in the evening when he could. He was able to further his education at Sydenham Art College in London. Longevity is 3 hours, projection is nice for 1 hour and then it's hot water. Lalique has proven that it is no longer a great cheap niche, but just a regular mainstream from the lower shelf at Sephora/Douglas. If the price is around Lalique Encre Noire, I think it's worth the extra money. If they are much more expensive, there are many other nicer perfumes. This will avoid that you fall for a Niche smell that you can get from a brand perfume for a cheaper price. This is the most well blended and balanced Vetiver scent I have ever put my nose on..."Having Said That" it's still Vetiver and although I think this works great for any sort of Business person in a suit, I don't wear my suits anymore so I can't see this being worn.It is truly not easy to like this fragrance, let alone understand it (which I probably still do not). But it is truly intriguing and holds a certain mystique that I have not experienced before in the world of perfumes. Chanel is more sharp and woody, definitely a lot more on the rough side of vetiver. Despite the aldehydic opening I would rather compare it with Encre Noire EDT with tobacco added.

I decided to buy Sycomore in spite of the rather hefty price tag, and the two scents will now be my trustful companions for years to come. Encre Noire will remain one of my winter favorites, when I want to make the best of gloom and snow. Sycomore will be for whenever I want that little extra treat for myself (and my wife can use it too).My skin brings out the astringent quality of cypress that I adore so much, but the smoky vetiver radiates quite well as well, and it even has a nice edge that reminds me of orange peels. That said, in my younger years I was pretty big into metal, the more gothic, darker and forestry kinds. I’ve since outgrown the style, but retained a liking for the music and general atmosphere. This part is what made me pull the trigger and blindbuy this. And, I’m happy I did. Attention to this fragrance I became through the rather hated Jeremyfragrance, for which I must break a lance at this point: That the guy probably has much less expertise than some perfume users can be good and that he must be really unappealing to most people with his weird playboy behavior is quite out of the question. But I have to say that with his odd manner, he does spark an interest in perfume, especially for newbies like me, and that I certainly wouldn't be writing this comment today if I hadn't stumbled across one of his videos a few months ago. But enough of that. One of his videos featured the original Encre Noire, stating "it smells like death, but in a very good way". For me, as a metal fan since childhood, an extremely intriguing paraphrase. It is perfectly pleasant, and irresistible. There isn’t a single unpleasant element in it. Every molecule that enters your nose is aimed straight for the pleasure centers of your brain, and for the higher levels of your imagination. There is nothing carnal or wild about it. It makes you think of being a better man, and having a better, quieter, more meaningful life.
