About this deal

Spray the cylinder head assembly liberally and get rid of the gunk with lint-free cloth/ compressed air. If available, it’s advisable to hit the nail gun with a bit of air to mop all the spots you can’t wipe. So your Paslode’s now clean – hopefully it seems refreshed. But is it firing like it should? As well as regular cleaning, your nail gun also needs new spare parts fitted every now and then. The o-rings, battery pads, filter, etc. get worn out and need replaced. Any of the two substitutes we have explained here will do the job and can be a good way of saving your hard-earned money. Don’t panic- it’s alcohol based so it will not hurt the O-rings or other seals (you probably know that brake parts feature plenty of rubber) or even electrical parts of the tool.

Next, disconnect leads from your fan motor and the spark plug to reach the tool’s cylinder head assembly.Regular cleaning (depending on use) is essential to keep your Paslode nail gun firing and running smoothly.

The videos below from Paslode demonstrate how to properly clean and lubricate your nailer. They’re easy to follow with simple instructions. This prevents you from spreading dirt or scratching the internal parts of your nail gun. Make sure you properly tighten all screws when reassembling your nail gun. Using a nailer with loose screws can cause damage to both you and the tool. Test your nail gun after cleaning. We’ll expertly test, clean, service and repair your nail gun, then return it to you working like new again. A service and repair is a worthy investment for maintaining your Paslode’s performance. After all, you don’t want your work to suffer! What’s included in our Approved Paslode Service? Something else: You’re advantaged when you use the recommended paslode cleaner and oil – it’s specially engineered for the tools and cleans wonderfully. Do you want to learn how to clean your Paslode nail gun? It’s easy and only takes minutes! Read on to find out how. Paslode Maintenance If you don’t want to splash out on the pricey Paslode nail gun cleaner, try these Paslode degreaser cleaner alternatives. 1: Brake cleaner This video shows you how to clean a Paslode framing nailer (IM360Ci, 360Xi, IM350) or positive placement nailer (PPN35Ci, PPNXi):

Is your nailer not firing properly? See our handy Paslode Troubleshooting Guide to help you diagnose the problem. Now proceed to spray (and wipe the deposits) the main cylinder along with the piston driver assembly.

Your Paslode Also Needs Regular Servicing

These products are strong enough to blast away oil, dirt, carbon deposits, and more from overly sensitive electrical equipment including pneumatic and cordless nail guns. This video shows you how to clean a Paslode finish nailer (IM65, IM65A, IM50) or multi-purpose nailer (IM45): Don’t think of carb degreaser cleaner though- it has some terrible ingredients and hardens or dissolves plastic, rubber, and the like. Side Note: Please follow the instructions printed in the manual for your specific Paslode model all through. Paslode recommend that you use their official cleaner as, again, it’s specially formulated for their nailers. Other cleaners may chemically damage your nail gun’s electrical, plastic and rubber parts. They may also leave a residue which can cause damage to both you and your nailer. Use a clean, lint-free cloth.
