About this deal

It is because of their expressive nature that eyes are considered the "windows to the soul" in poetry, literature, and modern Japanese animation. The tiger is a powerful predator, and in its natural habitat, it is at the top of the food chain. Strong and feared, it is not hard to see why people would find a tiger tattoo an appealing design to get inked. The big cat also represents focus and determination; getting a tattoo of its eyes could remind you of your desires and the things you want to achieve. The mighty creature’s eyes also make for a particularly striking design, especially when it is the only part of your ink that is depicted in color.

It is now time to work out the big highlights. This is the great reflection of light that you can see in the eye. This can be one reflection but it can also be multiple. The eyelashes can often be seen in a reflection. This is because eyelashes prevent the light from shining in the eye. This is especially true if the reflection is high on the eye. We will focus on drawing the eyelashes later on. Finalizing the highlight and reflection My imaginary light source comes from the top right, so I’m shading the top of my iris darker because the iris shape is concave, so the top of the iris is actually facing away from the light, whereas the bottom of the iris, faces toward the light. Now let’s figure out where to place the eyebrow. Lines from left to right: Tail, arch, and beginning of eyebrow. Starting with your grid, start placing the eyebrows. The original image’s well-groomed eyebrows are fairly linear because of this. The intersection of the top horizontal line and the outside vertical lines forms the inner portions of the eyebrows. Start by drawing the eyebrows from these spots. The iris is an area with a lot of depth and details. Both dark and light shades are close together. It is therefore important to have gray as your basic tone. Later on you can draw over dark areas and erase light details. Personally, I achieve the softest colored result using a stumper. So actually you fill in the iris with the graphite that is still on your stumper (mine are always dirty). To make sure that your stumper does not leave any nasty stains, I first wipe off the first layer of graphite that is still on, on a loose sheet of paper. I always color with my stumper by making circular movements. Continue until your iris is evenly light gray. Do not forget to keep your highlights in your iris and pupil white. Shading of the irisFor the bottom eyelid, I’m shading along the top edge, while leaving a narrow space for the eyelid’s ledge. Give yourself the time you need to work on your painting since sketching takes time. This technique requires patience since it will enable you to acquire this talent in a useful way.

Start by drawing a number of long eyelashes spread over the lash line to determine the direction and curve. After that, it is easier to place the other lashes in between. Eyelashes in progressBlend one section of your eye at a time, using a clean blending stump, tissue paper, q-tip, or fine-haired paintbrush (whatever your preference is).

Hi, welcome to RapidFireArt! My name is Darlene and in this tutorial I’m going to teach you how to draw a realistic eye using easy step by step instructions. This is my first tutorial, so I hope you enjoy it! Then, using light strokes, roughly draw hairs in zone 1 while staying within the boundaries. As you work toward the left, curve, and angle the hairs so they point more toward the tail of your eyebrow. We’re going to blend this out in a second, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. It makes a significant difference to do this type of intricacy and to spend a lot of time reviewing all of our shadings. Your drawing will come to life as a result of this. Our picture should start to seem more realistic as we gradually add more markings with our ballpoint pens, shading over the necessary places, and gradually create these gradients. Continue doing this technique on both eyebrows until they are both filled in with thin pencil lines. Take a look once we’ve completed both brows to determine whether you need to add any additional pencil fill-ins before we continue on to the second level with our Micron pens. Start making the same mark-creating motions and strokes over the pencil marks with your 0.2 mm Micron pen. The same as previously, start at the inner corner of the forehead and work your way out to the outside corners.

Use the same technique to shade the rest of the skin around the eye. Draw with a tilted pencil to capture a big area at once and to avoid sharp lines. To shade very smoothly, try to keep pencil strokes close together to eliminate gaps. Shade the top and bottom of your eye whites. Okay, next, we can actually get the eyebrow to look 3D by making specific hairs darker. This could be a whole topic of its own, so let’s keep it simple. Continue along until you reach the corner of the eye. Lashes located near the corner of the eye are usually shorter, thinner, and therefore appear lighter. Don’t forget to add some lashes along the other side (far side) of the eyelid too. Something I like to do is shade the rim of my iris darker than the iris body to give it more contrast, but that’s completely up to you.

By looking carefully at your reference photo, you determine what kinds of shapes are present in the eye. Sometimes the lines are nicely located next to each other but eyes can also have more comples iris patterns. All eyes are different. Again, you get the best result again by gently, but precisely, erasing it. Often, I put more pressure at the beginning of a line so that it flows nicely into the rest of the iris. To create round shapes, I make a dotting motion. I repeat this until the spot becomes light enough. After addition of highlights Starting roughly from the center of the eyeball, lightly draw a curved line for the top eyelid. It can cover part of your iris or expose it completely, then wrap the eyelid around the other side of your eyeball. Tip: Avoid drawing too many lashes that run parallel to each other. If you taper them together, you can create more natural-looking lashes that are less patterned:

Alright, moving on! Right above the top eyelid, draw the eyelid crease. You can use the eyelid shape as a reference or draw a more uniquely shaped crease. Connect that pencil stroke to the top eyelid using a slight curve.
