About this deal

i don't know why but this book just made me evaluate my life- myself. why do you ask? well, WARNING FOR NON ROMANCE READERS THIS ⤵ QUOTE IS SPICY OK BYE: Despite all his virtues, Josh's past has been far from rosy, for he has experienced betrayal from friends, as well as his father's arrest. Beneath all the looks and glamour lies a man in need of genuine love and understanding. The fact she made videos on her tiktok saying “well it’s my books i don’t care and if you don’t like men degrading women you shouldn’t read it” but WHY ARE YOU WRITING IT?!

Jules’s past story felt forced to fit in the story. As if just wanted to give some traumatic childhood to the character. What I Liked However, I HAVE TO MENTION the best trope of all. The one that brought tears to my eyes. The "I AM NOT LIKE OTHER GUYS!!!!!" but I will talk exactly like Christian Grey every time I get the chance. (so he kind is like one guy) It pains me, because enemies to lovers is my most fav trope, and Ana had a good momentum brewing with them at the beginning of their story. The scene at the bar? Chefs' kiss. But that momentum came crashing down because Ana Huang didn't know how to keep building it up. The chemistry evaporated into thin air.) But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there's more than meets the eye to the man she's hated for so long. I didn’t respond, because how was I supposed to tell the man determined to save me that I didn’t want to be saved?❞When their animosity explodes into one unforgettable night, he proposes a solution that'll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies with benefits arrangement with simple rules. But when he’s forced to look after his best friend’s sister, he starts to feel something in his chest: i thought the romance was cute in the beginning. usually, in a brother's best friend book the girl is always pining for the guy while the guy plays a martyr act and becomes a ho to "push" the girl away even though he has feelings for her. i'm glad that's not the case here and love the fact that Ava was even a little indifferent towards him at first. and honestly? the smut scenes were kinda hot. Initially, she is friends with Josh's sister, Ava, and is prone to get her in trouble. This always irked Josh. Same with the 2nd book, it was kind of fast, I feel like people say its a slow-burn cuz its like over a couple of years but I wish instead of all the time jumps, we could see more of the anticipation, the angst and the tension building I feel like that would've made it much better. I didn't really like Rhys that much tbh like he was kind of boring, but like when he was with Bridget he was very whipped. They had a lot of cute moments together tho which I rlly liked and I loved how Bridget proves the sexist parliament guy wrong. Once again the smut in this series was kind of weird like one of the things Rhys says is "Remember in public you're my princess but in private you're my whore" and I just don't get why the guy's in this series gotta call the fmcs "thier" sluts or whores just whyyy, but other than that I liked the book I'm just not that big of a smut reader.

Get up,” he said, his voice soft but so commanding I obeyed without thinking. “You’re about to find out what happens when you invite yourself into the lion’s den.” but ngl I was a lil concerned at how much and fast Jules could orgasm... Josh only had to pump into her a couple of times and suddenly she came like 5 times in a row. Josh really knew what he was doing. 🤣like the plot twist?? not even that amazing and was just like squashed under their romance anyway so i see no point in it tbh I loved Alex and Ava’s relationship. It was so fun to see Alex slowly fall in love with Ava throughout the book. The groveling was the perfect amount. Everything was just 🤌 chef’s kiss. May have been the shortest book in the series, but it was a good one.
