For the 100 Days of Happiness campaign in SM City San Jose Del Monte, the mall partners with City Related Establishment Society on Tourism (CREST) of the city. Peanut butter, resin pieces as well as leather goods were on display for 3 and a half months at the mall. Dumagat Tribe Community at Brgy. San Isidro SJDM benefitted from the campaign as part of the sales from 100 Days of Happiness selling were donated to the said tribe with a total amount of Php.12,667.35. I started taking daily photos of this beautiful Liquidambar styraciflua (sweet gum) tree in our front garden in October; its final leaves fell on Christmas Eve. Pictures of 4 different cities: Nashville, TN; Memphis, TN; New York, NY and Portland, ME Are you up for the challenge? Getting started requires a bit of discipline, then it took me about 2 weeks to get into the daily habit of taking my photo, as part of my routine. Day 12: At a coffee shop; helluva sailing book! Lucio, a personal trainer and water polo coach living in Rome with his wife and two children, is just shy of his 40th birthday when he finds out that he has terminal lung cancer. This is not a spoiler! This is in the book description and something you find out in the first few paragraphs. This book is about the last 100 days of his life.

In another passage, Lucio’s car breaks down in Trastevere and he goes to a nearby café to await its repair. Here he finds that the cafe's owner has created a collective diary in the form of a wall stretching thirty feet and covered with a mural divided in two: one side, written in red paint, THINGS I LOVE, on the other side, in midnight-blue, THINGS I HATE. The wall is covered with colorful phrases of all sizes ranging from the nostalgic (the grated apple my grandmother used to make) to the crass (the happy sight of Mariasole’s tits) to the mundane (whoever stole my moped).In fact, it’s something to celebrate as there are so many beautiful blessings with being a sensitive person. To read it is to realize that the child within us is still alive and well, ready to laugh, play, love unguardedly, and eat hot doughnuts."--Martha Woodroof, author of "Small Blessings" A dear Canadian friend introduced me to this delightful song a few years ago, and these beautiful creatures are quite close to my heart after spending hours sitting watching them in Vancouver’s Aquarium. I found this contained some really beautiful scenes and beautiful moments that showed which ways life can be important. I love my window as it’s the place that holds my gaze the most. I love to look out at the ever-changing sky, especially to witness the majestic sunrises at certain times of the year, to watch the life-cycle of my magnificent trees as they change through the seasons, and to try and spot the birds who are singing their tuneful birdsong.

Lots of friends were curious about the photos and asked me thoughtful questions about the challenge. And I heard way more often than I had expected that my followers were actually looking forward to my daily “happy photo.” Questo libro è molto profondo, forse fin troppo per questo periodo, in cui ho bisogno solo di leggerezza. Lucio finds out that he has terminal cancer and 100 days to live. In addition his wife just found out that he was cheating. This book is a countdown of his final days where he tries to make it all count, spend time with his friends, kids and win over his wife. It’s safe to say I’m reliably unreliable when it comes to making plans for a get-together be it in person or via technology. I find I have to reluctantly cancel planned chats at the last minute, due to not feeling well enough. And this is really upsetting and I never feel great about it. I’ve got an answer for at least 100 of my recent days – and a new perspective on gratitude, thanks to the 100 Happy Days project. Il pezzo forte del romanzo è proprio Lucio. Sin dal momento della diagnosi lui non si butta troppo giù, va avanti, tratta la malattia in modo ironico, chiamandola l’ amico Fritz, ma soprattutto non si abbatte troppo (ok, un po’ lo fa, ma chi non lo farebbe al posto suo?) ed affronta la malattia senza disperarsi. Ciò che mi è piaciuto ancor di più del protagonista è il fatto che non è un uomo perfetto, ma commette molti errori, è umano in tutte le sue scelte; non ha nulla a che fare con un “super-uomo”, ma può essere uno chiunque di noi.
