The Possessed, also known as Possessed Chaos Space Marines, Daemonkin and " The Secondborn," are those Chaos Space Marines who have entirely forsaken their Humanity and given up their souls and bodies to the Daemonic servants of the Chaos Gods. Leading the Daemonkin warbands in their pursuit of untold power are the Chaos Sorcerers called Masters of Possession. These sorcerous figures have mastered the darkest and most blasphemous lore: the art of using hosts of living flesh to house daemonic spirits. It is they who perform the profane ceremonies of binding that imbue the Daemonkin with their Warp-born power. Gouging a breach in the fabric of realspace, the Master of Possession draws a willing entity from the Immaterium, channelling its terrible energies into the body of a supplicant or the chassis of a war machine. Shooting: The downside to having great melee support is that your shooting support just isn’t there. This pushes you into a specific style of play with Word Bearers and can make certain matchups a little more difficult as your lists will tend to skew hard in one direction. And on the flip side, Word Bearers don’t have a ton of protection against shooting and can be vulnerable to being blasted off the board. Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: The Master of Executions is the other double-attach character, and he’s got a nasty S7 AP-2 2-damage axe with PRECISION and DEVASTATING WOUNDS. The units he leads re-roll hit rolls against units below starting strength and re-roll wound rolls against units below half strength. Also a solid add. He can get you extra CP by killing characters. One of the big benefits of the Emperor’s Children is the ability to take Noise Marines as troops. The good news is that Emperor’s Children Noise Marines are pretty good right now! The bad news is that there aren’t modern plastic models for Noise Marines. You’re going to want at least 10 and as many as 30 if you’re going heavy on them, and that means either doing custom conversions or buying a bunch of plastic Chaos Space Marines and adding the (ugh) Finecast Noise Marine upgrade kid weapons to them (in the photo above I used the Horus Heresy Kakophoni guns). Emperor’s Children are some of the shoot-ier Chaos Space Marines, but they’re also great in melee. It’s hard to go wrong with them.After being formally chastised and humiliated at Khur, Lorgar, on the advice of his First Captain Kor Phaeron and the Word Bearers' First Chaplain Erebus, both secret devotees of the Chaos Gods, decided to undertake a Pilgrimage to discover if the gods worshipped by the adherents of the ancient Old Faith of the Word Bearers' homeworld of Colchis were real and worthy of the Word Bearers' faith and allegiance. All the while, his mind howls with the pain of the new possession. His skin shudders as a new Daemon's grip closes once again on his form. But these are pains to be relished rather than just endured, for the Possessed knows his form is becoming faster and stronger, gaining sharper senses still. Chaos Terminators have the profiles you’d expect, save for being the only terminators with a 5+ invul It is suggested in the copy of the Heretica Daemonica held within the vaults of the Ordo Malleus that there exist several methods through which the Daemon may materialise within the body of a Space Marine. One of the few rituals known to be detailed in the forbidden volume, and certainly the most common method through which a Chaos Space Marine may become a Possessed, is the Rite of the Reshaper. Anyways, give these guys some chainswords, an accursed weapon, a heavy melee weapon, and maybe an autocannon, then use them to aggressively push on objectives.

Support for Daemonkin: Daemonkin get some huge buffs out of Word Bearers, specifically the Master of the Union Warlord Trait buff, which gives a single unit per turn +1 Strength and improves their AP by 1. The faction also gives you a way to make any character into a Daemonkin unit.
