About this deal

The Galex Nano by Freemax is a pod device that is targeted at mouth-to-lung vapers. It uses Freemax’s FM SaltCoilTech 4.0 coils, which is the same coil technology used for some of their other pod vapes like the Freemax Maxpod 3 , and Maxpod Circle . Freemax are known for their flavorful and long-lasting sub-ohm tank coils, so it’s interesting to see them incorporating their coil technology into pod vapes.

This kit is perfect for all levels of vapers, either as a main or secondary device so “Yes” I’d recommend it! Would I buy this device again due to loss or damage? I know – I’m not much of a mouth-to-lung vaper but while the draw is on the tighter side I have felt very comfortable using this kit! Clean the Pod: Rinse the pod under running water to remove e-liquid residue. Use a soft cloth or cotton swab to wipe the inside and outside of the pod gently. Ensure that the pod is completely dry before reassembling. Battery Capacity: Equipped with a powerful 800mAh battery, the Galex Nano ensures long-lasting usage, allowing for all-day vaping without frequent recharging. The Galex Nano features a 3-level adjustable output. To adjust the wattage, press the fire button three times consecutively. Each press will cycle through the available output levels: high (4.2V), middle (3.5V), and low (3.3V). Select your desired wattage level by pressing the fire button when your preferred output is displayed. Note 1: The display will only illuminate when the Full Spectrum lighting is selected. If it’s switched off there will be no indications when the pod is inserted or removed. Compatible with GX Mesh coil series & includes a 0.8ohm GX Mesh coil and 1.0ohm GX Mesh coil (pre-installed) Firstly the leak-resistant structure of the pod did its job of preventing leaks perfectly, I didn’t experience a single drop making its way into the base and there was no condensation either – nice job Freemax! I have been using the Blue 3.5V setting with the 1.0Ω coil in place, this has given me a smooth flavourful MTL vaping experience with acceptable vapour production.

Showing off this aspect of a vape kit is becoming a popular trend with pod vape kits, and none more so than the Freemax Galex Nano, so kudos to Freemax for the design. Output Wattage: The Galex Nano offers an adjustable output wattage range of 11-22W, allowing you to customize your vaping experience to suit your preferences and coil resistance. In the time I have been testing this device I have experienced no leaking, apart from a little condensation residue in the pod bay, which is normal!Yes, the Galex Nano is beginner-friendly. It features a simple and intuitive interface, making it easy to operate for vapers of all experience levels. Thanks to a top-filling design, you don’t need to remove the Galex pod from the device to add more e-liquid, just take off the mouthpiece instead. Compatible with 50/50 e-liquids and high PG options – nic salts are a popular choice, the mesh coils that are included with the Galex Nano kit create a better flavour by heating more e-liquid at a faster rate.

Now the big question is…Do the pods leak? Freemax claim that the pods utilize their FM Leak-Resistance Tech. They state that the Maze chimney on either side of the pod extends the path of the excess e-liquid flowing through the chimney which effectively prevents leaking issues. Together with this, a cotton pad in the base of the pod absorbs any additional e-liquid providing further protection. The FreeMax Galex Nano is compatible with GX Mesh Coils, designed explicitly for Galex products. This allows you to choose from various coils to suit your vaping preferences. Testing the charge rate, I got a max of 0.78A so it probably would have been listed at 1A charging. Most pods charge in 30-60 mins depending on the battery size and I got a charge time of 50 minutes. It does have passthrough vaping as well. This coil did best at the highest setting as well, and it’s quite a difference from the medium setting (17W vs 12W), but I suggest trying all of the outputs and seeing what you like best for yourself.Empty the Pod: Remove any remaining e-liquid from the pod. Dispose of it according to local regulations. Constructed from plastic, the main part of the pod is clear, which makes it easy to see when you need to top up your e-liquid. While this review will focus predominantly on the smaller Freemax Galex Nano, it’s also important to differentiate it from the Galex.

Freemax have implemented their “Full Spectrum Vaping” lighting effects which we’re seeing on more and more of their later releases, including the Galex Pod kit. These effects can be switched on or off via the control button and shine through a large octagon shaped transparent smoked screen on the front of the Galex Nano casing. This device has a screen that is for displaying the light show and for visual display of one of the 3 voltage options, I’ll cover the lights and the operation later in this review. Overall it’s a really nice looking pod body, looks smart, feels nice in the hand, lightweight, discrete (with the lights switched off), well built, very compact and simple to use. The Galex Nano Pod
