About this deal

Seagram passed their whisky business to Pernod Ricard in 2001, and in 2006 Glen Grant was bought by Gruppo Campari for €115m, following Pernod Ricard’s acquisition of Allied Domecq. This was a great move for Campari, as Italy was Glen Grant’s biggest market. We may sell, license, transfer, assign or in any other way dispose of the Service (including Members) to any third party without any notification to you, e.g. (but without limitation) in connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger or sale, or other transfer of assets.

Glen Grant 70 yo 1952/2022 'Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II Edition' (52.3%, Gordon & MacPhail, Private Collection, first fill sherry butt, cask #381, 256 bottles) - 250522Mouth: plenty of apples again, with vanilla cake and marshmallow. Mid-palate a rougher side appears, with lemon zest, heather and green oak. Strong hints of ginger and pepper as well. A lot of barley notes and fresh oak shavings towards the end. Each marked with a bespoke number, every one of the 360 decanters have been made from hand-blown crystal glass, designed by world renowned Glencairn Studio, and are based on the design of the distillery's unique tall slender pot stills. Nestled in an elegant presentation case crafted from sustainable walnut, the decanter itself requires over 15 hours of expert craftsmanship for each creation, encompassing intricate details which symbolize the unique aromas of The Glen Grant. Each presentation case has the Master Distiller's signature engraved within it and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, signed personally by Dennis Malcolm.

Glen Grant 66 yo 1948/2014 (46.6%, Gordon & MacPhail for Wealth Solutions, first fill sherry butt, cask #1369, 160 bottles) - 190614 Glen Grant 1950/2007 (40%, Gordon & MacPhail, Glen Grant Collection, licensed bottling, hogshead and sherry butt, casks #853+2734, 668 bottles) - 050917Launched in 2018, this Glen Grant offering is bottled at “Batch Strength” (50% ABV) and aged in 100% first-fill bourbon casks without chill filtration. Unfortunately, I can’t find where Glen Grant has confirmed that this offering has no added caramel coloring.
