This is a great shower. Controllable pressure allows you to use the minimum of water - good for the bills and the environment, controllable temp works well. This product was to replace an old Mira shower which wed had for about 20 years so had done sterling work. This new one looks extremely neat and smart and works very efficiently. Once set to the temperature and flow required, all that is needed to turn on or off is a press of one button, easy! All in all an excellent product Electric showers take water from your cold-water supply and heat it by passing the water over a built-in heating element, in the same way as a kettle does. This type of shower is usually economical to run, but isn't always as powerful as traditional mixer models.

Just bought and fitted a new filter kit for my mira event xs. I did this as I live in a limescale area and the shower unit is very noisy. I thought maybe changing the filters might make the water flow better, however after removing the old filters they were still quite good. What do you think, I've had the shower since 2009 and had no problems. Is fitting a Harness Assembly a job for an electrician or can it be done diy? I need to replace a mira event xs hose and Showerhead _ do you supply these please? Thank you Sarah

Mira digital showers This is a replacement for one of our Mira Event S thermostatic and each has lasted around 10 years with the odd replacement front panel. Two of them are over 12 year old, each time easy to fit as the fittings are the same! Ten years on, the design hasnt changed – so it fitted straight onto the old pipework and works just as well – in fact, even better! It seems a lot quieter and smoother. And the shower head itself is a simpler, better design. the strength of flow of water does not change when the knob is turned from high to low on my mira event xs shower. Run the hot and cold water supply pipes at 28mm centres, ensuring that the pipe ends project into the Mira Event XS by 30mm to allow connection into the inlet manifold.
