The FSA has issued the recall for 300ml bottles of Chocomel chocolate milk drinks – with 'best before' dates of between 7 November and 29 November this year.

The jelly cups contain Konjac flour and Carrageenan gelling agents, additives that are banned from use in jelly due to them being a potential choking hazard. This is because of the “ consistency, solubility, shape, size and manner of consumption of the food”, according to the Food Standards Agency. Interstoq Ltd is recalling 300ml bottles of Chocomel chocolate milk because they contain milk – an ingredient that's not listed in English on the label of some bottles. Point of sale notices are being displayed in Home Bargains stores carrying the table salt explaining why the product has been recalled. This is because it could pose an allergy risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
