I do prefer the former over the latter myself and am curious what determines which way the Nano will be. It does seem like most of them, however, both currently out and upcoming (R2-D2 Tamagotchi!) you get to raise the actual thing. For those curious here is what my three runs were like. First run's first half was mostly done blind as mentioned earlier. More fun that way. 1st Run (2 Months on Test Batteries) I didn't really resort to any guides or hints until I started gettiing the same Angel which was Israfel but, it was fun seeing what I ended up with initially without a guide. I recommend you try playing without this guide too first or if you're here, you've probably done that already.

The Evatchi Tamagotchi is part of Bandai’s Tamagotchi Nano series. Combining a mecha Angel with Tamagotchi just makes a lot of sense. It is a fun little toy for fans of the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime and manga series. I do have a certain affinity for these devices as it is easier to raise more than one at once and tends to be less demanding than most Tamagotchi devices. Once the embryo turns into a cocoon, you'll have to wait until the embryo inside stops moving. Then you can release it by pressing A.

I never owned the original Tamagotchi but did get a spin-off RakuRaku Dino-kun AKA Dinkie Dino which was pretty fun too raising a dinosaur. Later I was still curious what the original was like and ended up buying a later version of the Tamagotchi which is the yellow one you see here with an IR connector to trade gifts with other owners. By pressing C, you can see how your Evatchi is doing. If you see a twirly symbol next to it it means it needs S2 Engine energy. If it's a circle, it means you you need need to feed it some of Kaji's "suika (watermelons)" energy. Both accessible via the Energy menu. If the Tamagotchi evolves within fifteen minutes of a discipline call, the user will still have a chance to discipline them until the attention icon turns off as usual.

Raising Time & Notes

Angels will not poop; instead, their LCL will get dirty and you'll have to clean it. The longer you wait to clean it, the darker it will get. It was such a hit when the toys first arrived in the UK. To the point were news were reporting children crying that their pets died and teachers banning them from school because they were such a distraction. These were the days before kids even had a monotone mobile phone with snake to play with!
