About this deal

The restaurant is set to open in Brindleyplace on June 5. Not long to wait for those sumptuous steaks! Having taken his subject seriously for 40 years, Richard is a real expert who is constantly tasting. If you have reservations for busy periods, such as a Friday or Saturday, allow yourselves extra time as a queue can form for the lift. However, it’s the outside terrace that is the real showstopper. Covered in beautiful white flowers, surround by potted olive trees, it exudes the feel of the Italian Riviera. It's a real suntrap and ideal for enjoying Cicchetti and prosecco in the coming months. Bellisimo! As well as mixed fermentation and aged beers, 'rich velvet-y' barrel-aged stouts and their existing, legendary line-up including the ever-popular Intuition, the plan is to bring street food vendors in to the dedicated kitchen space. Perfect for summer! 5) Bundobust - Summer 2023

Renowned chef Marco Pierre White has put together a traditional menu for the restaurant that specialises in steaks, but there are plenty of other fish and meat options too.

The brilliant beer babs at Attic Brewery are opening a new bar and barrel-aging facility in one of the railway arches in the Jewellery Quarter. They've got a fantastic taproom at their brewery in Stirchley and so a second spot will no doubt prove popular too. A word of advice - the entrance to this restaurant is a little hidden. Diners use the lift in the Hotel Indigo reception in The Cube, as this eatery is located on the hotel's twenty-fifth floor. I went for Birmingham's poshest afternoon tea to celebrate the King's Coronation and felt like a big fat queen A lavish bar and dining room on the first floor has a cosy, chic atmosphere and is particularly busy from Thursdays to Sunday night, when reservations are recommended. It's a decadent dinner location, and visiting politicians, actors and singers can regularly be seen in the restaurant. The restaurant offers delightful Italian favourites (pasta, pizza and Risotto to name a few, with gluten-free pasta options available on request) and an enviable view over the Mailbox’s patio and canal.

If you want to experience the vibrant flavours of Punjab, we definitely recommend heading to Indico Street Kitchen, one of our favourite Mailbox Birmingham restaurants. The place that locals call home, they pay tribute to street food culture and provide the epitome of an all-round authentic experience. We would describe Indico Street Kitchen as less of a conventional restaurant and more like ;the bustling streets of North India’. This restaurant allows you to embrace the vibrant Punjabi culture and the glitz and glamour of Indian Cinema. Marco Pierre White There will also be fried wings and loaded nachos. We'll share an opening date with you when we get it! 7) Koba-Ko - Opening date TBC Richard has lived and breathed the industry for 40 years, so he will never doff his cap to wine snobs. This American-style steakhouse is chic with large plates of delicious, uncomplicated food and a lively atmosphere.

Opening Times

Our food will be made to complement our drinks, so don’t come in expecting to find us doing curries. It will be simple but comforting food. Elia said: “Naturally I lean on my Italian heritage with my cooking. It is really important to me to always use the best, fresh ingredients and to respect the traditional Italian way of cooking. We personally select and import the highest quality Italian ingredients; it’s what really sets Lucarelli apart.” Bottles is not about getting rosettes for our food, even though it will be good with everything made for sharing whether it’s charcuterie from Italy, Spain or Britain, or tapas, or even a bowl of coq au vin with mash. The early images look great, with rich red and gold fabrics and bold Indo-Persian prints. There'll be a fine dining restaurant and a bar at the hotel, with afternoon tea a planned specialty. 4) The Barrel Store - May 13, 2023

Taking over the former Hawkshead Bar on Harborne High Street, Rudy's announced it was opening its third Birmingham restaurant just three months after opening in Brindleyplace. Find Passing Fancies at 30 Gibb St, Deritend, Birmingham B9 4BF 6. The Botanist Photo: The Botanist The location is one of the prime reasons for visiting this restaurant as it has a 360 degree view of the city from the top floor of The Cube. Floor to ceiling glass windows and a terrace bar make the most of this position too. It is particularly beautiful at night when the city lights up. Further out of Brum but still close enough (and exciting enough) to warrant the drive is Fraiche, the Michelin Star restaurant that is leaving the Wirral for the Shropshire countryside.

Situated at the top of The Cube and affording stunning views across the Birmingham canal-side vista, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill offers fine dining at its best. Whether you’ve been to see a play, need to recharge after a day’s shopping, or just want to enjoy the canal ambience, the place to do it is at the Mailbox. The Botanist has locations across the country and they are known for serving drinks in unusual vessels, such as flower pots. They’re not the easiest things to drink out of but they’re pretty tasty! Currently, they are serving Birds of Prey-themed drinks, in anticipation for the release of the film. You can enjoy it all in vintage style surroundings. They are often from London and I call them ‘wine clowns’ because they give the wine trade a bad image. With its canal-side setting and luxurious reputation, the restaurants in the Mailbox in Birmingham are a favourite destination for diners. With a mix of fantastic eateries, there is a choice of top-quality cuisine from around the globe.
