About this deal

To achieve this, Seiko uses screw down on the watch’s crown and pushers. It does not really make any sense to give an aviation watch a 200 m water resistance rating but who cares right? It has a chronograph that is a functional tool and is useful for engineers and pilots. To use the feature, you need to operate the two pushers found on the right side of the watch. The one at the top right is used to start and to pause the chronograph while the one at the bottom right is used to reset the chronograph. It also has a split time function, which is useful for sporting events. You can record time of events. Rotary slide rule

The dial of the Seiko FlightMaster Watch SNA411 is a very busy dial. At first glance I can’t even see where is the markers and hands lol! But this is the face of an aviation/flight watch. This watch can withstand up to 200M of water, so you can use it when you are showering, swimming, scuba diving and while you do other water-related activities. A slide rule is an important tool for aviation because it allows for rapid calculations “off the cuff”. Fuel efficiency, unit conversions, and more are important to know when trying to determine, say, how far you can go with what you’ve got in the tank, especially when a mile up in the sky. Oh, and miles to kilometers? The slide rule does that easily. Pilot’s watches for the people The main second hand (with the popping yellow color which is something that I really like) is only moving when using the chronograph. Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute. A very gorgeous aviation watch indeed and has a rotary slide rule and chronograph. But it loses to the Seiko FlightMaster SNA411 in terms of usefulness as it does not has the compass ring and some unit conversion (weight and volume)When it comes to affordable watches, there are few brands that have the same respect as Seiko. The Seiko Flightmaster SNA411P1 is one of those watches. It is bold, sporty, technically advanced, and of course rather good-looking.

Above is a great video showing how to do multiplication and division using the Seiko Flightmaster SNA411. What is an aviation watch without a chronograph? An incomplete aviation watch. This Seiko FlightMaster watch has a chronograph to complement its duty as a fully functional tool and utility watch for a pilot.Even though this is a dedicated pilot watch, Seiko has actually implemented 200 meters of water resistance. Another point for durability and functionality. You’d not expect such an implementation, but it’s a welcomed modification. It’s always good to have some sort of water resistance with your watch, just in case you forget to take it off before going for a bath or a dive.

The slide-rule is a feature that can perform a great number of mathematical operations, from the basic math problems to unit conversions but it will take you some time and some practice to be able to operate it.

We Got Your Back

It’s definitely worth having in mind the next time you’re going shopping for watches. This would make a great, affordable addition to any collection. One thing that really astound me is the water resistance of the watch – it is 200 m water resistant! It’s not even a diver watch and yet it has a very high water resistance. The bezel takes up a lot of room on the watch. In fact, the dial is only 32mm, whereas the bezel takes up most of the rest of the space. It was invented in 17th century and comprises two logarithmic scales. One of these scales can be moved or slide – hence the name slide rule. It is used for various calculations such as: As with some other lists on Ben’s Watch Club, this will be split into two sections. The first will be watches that are ‘clones’ of the Navitimer design, which are visually almost identical (though do vary in terms of performance).
