About this deal

A: Suzanne and I both write Young Adult and adult romantic comedies, so I think it’ll be a very fun conversation. I’ve been eager to visit Meet Cute since they opened last year — the space looks lovely, the perfect place to connect with romance readers. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Her next project is ghostwriting a memoir for Finn Walsh, a C-list actor best known for playing a lovable nerd on a cult classic werewolf show who now makes a living appearing at fan conventions across the country. Chandler knows him better from their one-night stand of hilarious mishaps. The sex-education. This book should be text book for most men, because I can guarantee they’d learn something new. The was Chandler approaches teaching Finn about sex is fantastic! I loved that she basically created a sexual lesson plan where each ‘session’ they explored something new. They started off with the basics like kissing and would ramp it up each time to cover things like foreplay, oral sex, and dirty talk - all very important aspects of sex that can be overlooked by men who want to skip ahead to the grand finale. This book also really highlights how important communication is to a healthy sex life and I really appreciate that. 👏 Only Rachel Lynn Solomon could make a story about giving sex lessons to a celebrity feel this grounded and realistic. Chandler and Finn are equal parts smart and funny, charming and generous, thoughtful and endearing. Rachel takes the kind of risks that make romance as a genre so special and rewarding to read.” —Rosie Danan, author of The Roommate

The fun, flirty and steamy new romcom from Rachel Lynn Solomon, author of The Ex Talk and Weather Girl! none of it is discussed satisfyingly or fully, or even in a very fun or interesting or non-"what is happening what are we doing here" way. I love Rachel Lynn Soloman books and I adore books about writers PLUS I love books that play on the relationship coach trope so it was a given that I wanted to read this book. A total delight. It's sexy, smart, and so freaking fun-I couldn't stop smiling! As always, Rachel's characters are rendered with tremendous love and care. You will fall hard for Chandler and Finn Carley Fortune, New York Times bestselling author of Every Summer AfterRachel Lynn Solomon has a gift for looking directly into my soul and somehow giving me exactly the book I needed. Business or Pleasure is a perfect encapsulation of everything I love about Solomon's writing: depth, vulnerability, and thoughtfulness, topped off with laugh-out-loud banter and smoking hot (and in this case, hard-won) chemistry Ava Wilder, author of How to Fake it in Hollywood Finn was introduced as a clumsy, clueless nerd who didn't know much about the realities of a woman's body or how to sexually please them. Yeah that's typical of the majority of men these days. BUT Finn is smart enough and comfortable enough to learn. I loved that there was a whole lot to his personality and things apart from sex lessons were going on for him. He was charming, became sexy and so EXPRESSIVE and he respected her boundaries😩🥵

See, the thing is: I don’t hate sex scenes. I mean I do but I also don’t. Would I prefer my sex scenes with less ”I’m thinking about how pink your pretty pussy is right now. Pinker than your cheeks?” ?- definitely. The MCs: Chandler Cohen and Finnegan Walsh (first introduced as Drew). I absolutely adore these two! Chandler and Finn are both so thoughtful, caring, and kind. They’re just good people. This passionate slow-burn is full of heart and wit. Sexy and smart, Business or Pleasure reflects on the ways in which we fall in love, figure out who we are, and handle challenges and opportunities along the way…a must-read romance.”— Jewish Book Council I’d recommend this book for women who need the confidence to share their needs in the bedroom and for men who aren’t sure they are cutting it for their partners and could use some helpful suggestions. This story was drama-filled in the best way due to their awkwardness post-one night stand and their attempt at staying professional. I was having the best time witnessing Chandler and Finn travel around together for Finn’s comic cons trying to figure out how to act around one another. Finn was so obviously into Chandler from the start - it was adorable. Chandler was a bit more reserved and was definitely hiding from her feelings for a good portion of the book, which felt true to her character. Only Rachel Lynn Solomon could make a story about giving sex lessons to a celebrity feel this grounded and realistic. Chandler and Finn are equal parts smart and funny, charming and generous, thoughtful and endearing. Rachel takes the kind of risks that make romance as a genre so special and rewarding to read." - Rosie Danan Chandler Cohen is going through a career crisis when she meets a man in a bookstore bar. She has a disappointing one night stand with him, then, unknowingly agrees to become his ghostwriter for his actor, teen drama memoir. Also, Chandler agrees to give Finn intimacy lessons??? Yes please. So, they strike a deal. During the day, they'll work on the book, and at night, she'll school him in the art of satisfaction. When she admits to Finn, their one night stand was total disaster, Finn makes her interesting offer. He needs to learn art of seduction not to make the same mistakes in the bed. And Chandler accepts which means she crosses the thin line between business and pleasure! Things are about to get saucier! Enjoy their blooming, sexist romance!

When she accepts her next ghostwriting gig penning a memoir for cult actor Finnegan Walsh, it should be a dream job. What follows is her offering to “teach” Finn how to be better in bed while they travel around the country on the Con circuit while he meets and greets fans and they learn more about each other while she writes his memoir.

Chandler Cohen has never felt more like the ghost in "ghostwriter" until she attends a signing for a book she wrote—and the author doesn’t even recognize her. The evening turns more promising when she meets a charming man at the bar and immediately connects with him. But when all their sexual tension culminates in a spectacularly awkward hookup, she decides this is one night better off forgotten. This is my third book by RLS, the first one was a miss for me 😬, the second one worked better & this one falls somewhere between the two. This is my favourite part of the novel. The awkwardness, the second hand embarassment because it was to true because no, not all men are going to know what to do to please a women and thats okay. its not all in and out like porn shows. It so unrealistic and this book shows that so well! it teaches us that most times women don't have plesure because porn is for the male gaze and is so hard to find ones where women are actually enjoying themselves.

He intrigues her enough that they strike a deal: when they’re not working on his book, Chandler will school Finn in the art of satisfaction. Rachel Lynn Solomon’s romance books make you feel things that you wish you could feel every day. They really feel like beacons of light in a dark world and Business or Pleasure is no different in this regard.”— BookRiot Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Her next project is ghostwriting a memoir for Finn Walsh, a C-list actor best known for playing a lovable nerd on a cult classic werewolf show who now makes a living appearing at fan conventions across the country. But Chandler knows him better from their one-night stand of hilarious mishaps. This is my essay on the topic of ”Sometimes I’m fine” – Reading sex scenes as a sex repulsed asexual.A: My next adult book will be completely different! It’ll be a romantic comedy set in Amsterdam — I’ve been saving up anecdotes since my plane touched down two years ago and can’t wait to show readers around the city I now call home. Rachel Lynn Solomon is an auto-buy author for me, and Business or Pleasure might be her best yet! Chandler and Finn’s story is so vulnerable and hot, and the way Solomon weaves serious, important topics throughout a warm and engaging romance is truly masterful. I already can’t wait to read this book again and again.”— Alicia Thompson, national bestselling author of Love in the Time of Serial Killers Business or Pleasure transcends sexy into something almost radical in this honest, raw, fresh, and hugely fun romp under the sheets and across the country with Chandler and Finn. Romantic, hilarious, sizzling, and heartfelt, Rachel Lynn Solomon’s latest has taken its place as my new favorite romcom.” —Carlyn Greenwald, author of Sizzle Reel
