I also loved their sweet little glimpes of their childhood friendship and it was so frustrating and yet so endearing to watch them so oblivious to each other's feelings 😭 probably comes down to theo. he is such a sweetheart and takes on responsibility like no other. initially i felt he was written too perfect but as the book carries on you learn more about him and see his flaws. doesn't make him less charming, just makes him more real. and his personality is really what made surprise pregnancy fun. he was SO into winter and they didn't have some half baked enemies to lovers going. (fr why are all surprise pregnancy enemies to lovers... u hated each other and now ur making it work for the kid? yawn) The writing felt fresh and funny, the two main characters seem to have the right spark to turn a workplace, can't-stand-your-lousy-ass type of thing into a full on spicy romance deal.

The only scenes that got me through this book were the Willa x Cade scenes and Winter x Theo first meeting.I could not escape the hype for this one and I finally just had to cave and read it. And oh my lord. This was pure fun! It made me happy! These two characters had so much heart and playfulness between them that I was on the verge of losing it several times. Because feelings. 🥹

Secret Baby is a hard Trope to impress me with but this set up worked for me. Even if hurt to get started, the pay off more than made up for it and had my heart soaring when it all comes out! Elsie Silver NEEDS to write a bonus scenes of how Willa managed to convinced Cade to go along with her plan to help Sloane get away from her own wedding.. look at him that poor man was probably held at gunpoint by his wife 😭🤚 Watching their relationship unfold was everything. It felt like watching old friends, and I missed them when the book was over. It takes a road trip. It takes cheap beer, a lake, a game of pool, and a shower. It takes almost losing everything. It takes one kiss, and everything changes. hmm i am unsure about this one. i didnt think Elsie would write the trope THIS way, which felt more like a surprise baby than a pregnancy? 😬Theo was just so genuinely GOOD. I adored him and he was the perfect man for Winter and the perfect father to their baby. I didn't really care about the rest of the characters, Cade was an ass and Winter was a bitch, but I'm excited to read their povs on the next books and see their reaons for being like that. And Jasper was a sweetheart but we didn't get much of him, so I can't say much more.
