About this deal

The Marauder's Map depicted in the closing credits of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban shows a " Book of Monster's Repair Workshop" where presumably copies of this book could be sent to be repaired. The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn. Use about half of the remaining vanilla buttercream to thinly cover the edges of the cake. No need to cover the top as you will pipe the chocolate frosting on top. Place in the refrigerator for about half an hour or until set.

Standing Leap. The acromantula's long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start. Grindylow – A small horned water demon with grasping fingers. The films give them octopus tentacles for legs, though they are not described as such in the novels. Condition Immunities charmed, exhaustion, frightened, paralyzed, petrified, poisoned, prone, stunned If a creature (including the basilisk) looks at the basilisk's eyes indirectly, such as through a reflection or through an opaque material like a ghost's body, the creature must immediately make the save but can only be petrified by the gaze, even if they roll a natural 1 or fail the save by 5 or more.Burning Day. The phoenix is immune to any effect which would kill it outright, such as a basilisk's Death Gaze. If the phoenix is reduced to 0 hit points, its body bursts into flames and it transforms into a phoenix hatchling. Any creature within 5 ft. of the phoenix must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3 (1d6) fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. Some creatures in the series are ordinary animals that may be imbued with magical properties or possess certain magical abilities. Owls, for example, deliver mail and have the ability to find the recipient regardless of their location. Other animals such as cats, dogs, frogs, toads, rats and mice do not necessarily have magical abilities. The cakes can also be made one day in advance. Once cool, cover well with cling film to avoid them drying out until the next day. Agonizing Gaze. If a creature can see the basilisk's eyes and starts its turn within 40 feet of the basilisk, the creature must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw to attempt to avert its gaze. If the creature rolls a natural 1 on its saving throw, it instantly dies. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature looks directly into the basilisk's eyes and it is reduced to 0 hit points. Otherwise, a creature that fails the save catches the gaze of the basilisk indirectly and is petrified until freed by a Mandrake Restorative Draught.

Vertical drops, Blast-Ended Skrewts and more surprises to come in Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ( see image) at Pottermore Gnome – Gnomes are known to infest the gardens of wizarding households and are found in Europe and North America. According to Fantastic Beasts, a "being" is generally defined as "any creature that has sufficient intelligence to understand the laws of the magical community and to bear part of the responsibility in shaping those laws." This includes humans, dwarves, house-elves, giants, goblins, hags, veelas, and vampires. Fairies, pixies, gnomes, and most other creatures are classified as "beasts." Affairs related to ghosts are relegated to the Spirit Division. Swooping Evil – A venomous butterfly-like creature with a skull of a wolf that feeds on human brains. All humans are beings, as are goblins, vampires, hags, giants, house-elves, veela, werewolves, merpeople and centaurs. Goblins Veela – Semi-humans, highly attractive, looking sometimes like an exceptionally beautiful girl, and sometimes like a harpy, and having a power to bewitch and enchant men. [9] Thestral, a shield bug genus, is named after Rowling's Thestrals. [30] [31] My Little Demiguise – A docile orangutan-like creature that can turn invisible. [6] The creature's sight is based on precognition. An escaped Demiguise plays a role in the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016). Their pelts are often used to make Invisibility Cloaks. Start with the pudding as it will need time to reach room temperature. You can make the pudding the evening before you make the cake, cover it with cling film directly on the surface to prevent it from forming skin, and let it on the counter until the next day. This way you can be sure it has the right temperature.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet and aware of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours. Dementors are blind, but they can sense the emotions of people around them. They seem to be naturally drawn to individuals who have experienced great suffering or some kind of trauma in their lives. This sense doesn't work very well on animals, which would feel less human, less complex and less appealing. Muggles cannot see dementors, but still suffer their effects and are threatened by them.

If using cornstarch instead of pudding powder, mix together 37 g/ 1.3 oz cornstarch with a small pinch of salt. Proceed exactly as described in the recipe below, adding 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or a few drops vanilla aroma to the hot pudding. Condition Immunities charmed, frightened, grappled, paralyzed, petrified, prone, restrained, stunned Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet and aware of it must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours. Dark Entities. Dementors are believed to be formed from the negative emotions of humans, much like poltergeists. Dementors grow like fungi in dark places filled with decay. Large groups of them will be surrounded by a freezing mist that rolls across the countryside like fog, affecting entire populations with their negative energy.

Death Gaze. If a creature can see the basilisk's eyes and starts its turn within 60 feet of the basilisk, the creature must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw to attempt to avert its gaze. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature looks directly into the basilisk's eyes and instantly dies. Otherwise, a creature that fails the save catches the gaze of the basilisk indirectly and is petrified until freed by a Mandrake Restorative Draught.

Antipodean Opaleye – A species of dragon native to the valleys of New Zealand with pearly scales and multicolored, pupiless eyes. Standing Leap. The acromantula's long jump is up to 20 feet and its high jump is up to 10 feet, with or without a running start. Puffskein – A sphere-shaped, custard-coloured creature covered in soft fur. A common pet for Wizarding children. Nimble Escape. The goblin can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns. Actions
