While both chairs come from the Stokke company, there have significant differences. Firstly, the Tripp Trapp is intended for lifetime use. This is a chair for babies, adults, and everyone in between. The Clikk high chair is targeted for use through infanthood and toddlerhood only. To its credit, I do like the Stokke brand’s commitment to quality. The chair was very easy to set up, and is easy to clean. European brands are held to a much higher standard than American brands when it comes to reducing toxicity, which is why I tend to prefer them.

However, that 3-year limit may be a little optimistic. The maximum weight limit of this chair is 33 pounds. There are very few downsides to adding a Stokke Clikk High Chairto your home. With its minimalist and attractive Scandanvain design, it can fit with any home’s interior. Plus, it was designed with a child’s proper eating posture in mind. Oh, and did I mention how easy it is to clean? It’s worth repeating! Proper eating posture means better head control for the youngest diners. For more independent eaters, good posture allows them easier access to their plates. Most importantly, proper positioning promotes safer swallowing and decreases the risk of aspiration. To keep the high chair’s footprint small, the Clikk does have a smaller-than-average tray. Most other high chairs have huge bulky trays with more surface area for mealtime. Even so, the Clikk’s tray still has adequate space for a plate or bowl and a sippy cup. As a mom, though, you aren’t easily swayed by things like product design awards. You want to know why your child should sit in this particular high chair. Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of toddler towers and think they are a must have for every family so I'd personally get the 3-in-1.Assembling this high chair is so easy. While the manufacturer claims it only takes 1 minute to assemble, in reality, parents have found it takes even less than a minute!
