About this deal

Superheated Steam Boiler – Cost 2: You can claim 4, 5, and 6 space routes. (You still need the mechanical stoker to claim 3 space routes.) Players should, in turn, reveal their destination cards and add or subtract the points indicated according to whether or not that route was made. Then it is time to see who has made the longest continuous path, which is worth an additional 10 points. This map can be played with 2 to 4 players, but the double routes are not used in the 2-player game.

Days of Wonder takes its name from the childhood fascination many feel when they first play games. In 2004 it became the youngest publisher ever to win the Spiel des Jahres, just 2 years after it was founded.

Locomotives

The non-USA maps (and any expansions you’re using) remain available; if they include a route that goes through or into one of the new states, then it’s still there! This means that you can now take your train all over North America and beyond! The United Kingdom half of this map collection introduces the concept of technology. At the start of the game, players can build only one- and two-train routes and only in England. By spending wild cards, players gain the ability to build routes three trains long or longer, in addition to being able to build ferries across water and build train routes in Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Players can also buy bonus cards that allow them to score extra points for taking certain actions during play. Despite the name, the map covers both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, that is, the islands of Great Britain and Ireland. Right of Way – Cost 4: You can claim an already-claimed route. You must immediately claim the route when you take this card, and after you have claimed it you return the card to the table. In other words, you need to pay each time you use this card. You just put your trains next to those of the other player. Locomotive cards (i.e. wilds) are especially important in this game. Any 4 cards can be played as a locomotive. When 3 or more locomotives appear in the available face-up cards, they are not discarded. Meanwhile, on the reverse, Pennsylvania is of a close-up map of the US state. Here, shares are the addition that give it a unique twist. Every time you complete a route, you then get to claim a share in one of the companies stated next to said route. This adds a different kind of incentive into the mixer. The biggest shareholder in companies earns points at the end, too!

Harmadrészt, egyben legfontosabb változás, hogy megjelennek az állomások, amelyek segítségével egy-egy már befoglalt útvonalat tudsz felhasználni a kezedben lévő értékes menetvonalak teljesítéséhez. Összesen 3 állomás áll a rendelkezésedre ehhez. Elegáns módja a problémamegoldásnak. The route scoring table is on the game board. There are also some cards in the game that show you how many points you score for each route length. These should be recorded by moving your scoring marker each time you claim a route. Draw Destination CardsWhen claiming a Route, you may play 1 less card than required. You must still play at least 1 Card, and you cannot ignore a Locomotive on a Ferry route. Ferries are special routes linking two adjacent cities across a body of water. They are easily identified by the Locomotive icon(s) featured At the beginning of their turn, before taking their regular action, a player may discard locomotive cards to buy one technology card. The cost is indicated by a symbol on the cards. It’s a different point boost that doesn’t destroy the simplicity of the original game but still adds a bit more complexity. United Kingdom This particular version focuses more heavily on trading goods over passengers making the map less like a map and more like an actual area with cities where you’re trying to build up your own empire! At the beginning of their turn, before taking their regular action, a player may discard Locomotives to buy ONE Technology Card. Remember that any 4 cards may be used as a Locomotive (or any 3 cards if you have the Booster Technology), even in this occasion. Again, the artwork on the cards is of a good standard. But when playing this game you will have to use the train cards from the original game and not the ones in the box. Some players like to add up the points for the routes they claim at game end, rather than each time a route is claimed.Az alapvető játékmenet – vonatkártyát húzol, vasútvonalat építesz, menetvonalakat teljesítesz- nem változott, csak újdonságokkal bővült. Exception: The Southampton - New York route is a special route that can be claimed at any time and without any Technology. When one player gets down to two or fewer trains left at the end of their turn, each player, including that player, gets one final turn. The game then ends and it is time to see who has won! Because the score for some routes may be affected by technologies such as the Boiler Lagging or the Steam Turbines, waiting until the end to compute Routes points doesn't work in this expansion. This makes an excellent choice if you’re looking for something that everyone can enjoy without having different playgroups end up fighting over rules which can sometimes take place when trying other titles out there on the market. In addition, since gameplay only takes around 30 minutes max per round this version also requires far less time investment than full-fledged versions do allow players more freedom about how they spend their free time on any given day! Now this is a thing of beauty. The UK side depicts the British Isles (and a little bit of France) in a gorgeous watercolour style giving the whole place a mystical, otherworldly feel. Even Nessie gets a cheeky look-in!The map features ferries, which are special routes linking two adjacent cities across a body of water. Locomotive cards must be played for each locomotive symbol on a ferry route, in addition to the usual cards of the route’s color. The UK side of the map throws technology into the mix. At the beginning of the game, players will only be able to build tiny routes in England. But the more they build as the game goes on, the more tech they’ll have available to use. As you build routes, you’ll notice companies on the board. Whenever you connect, you get a share in that particular company. The player with the most shares in a company gets some bonus points. Allows you to claim 4, 5, and 6 space routes. The Mechanical Stoker is still needed to claim 3 space routes.
