About this deal

The camera attaches with velcro straps to the vehicle headrest. It was challenging to pull the straps through and stretch them enough to get them attached with only two hands. Once attached we weren’t worried about it coming loose. Features – some baby car mirrors have added features to keep your baby entertained on the go. Car mirrors with lights, music, and colourful designs to appeal to babies are available. We expected the mirrors to perform exactly the same in our tests. That didn’t happen. A few were much more banged up than others, and some had ball joint come out or the mounting snap, while others like the Itomoro did not. From there, we narrowed down a few different categories that these products fall into, including a camera option, and considered additional features, such as lights, music, and remote controls. We also thought about where exactly these would be installed in your car and made sure to note the type of headrest needed.

It is 11.75″ x 7.5″, similar in size to the Britax mirror. It also has a two-strap system, vertical and horizontal for attachment to an adjustable headrest. It is not recommended for vehicles with fixed headrests. While there are lots of benefits to having a baby mirror in your car, there are a few points to note before you hit the road. Parents say this mirror gives a good view day or night, and that the remote is easy to operate. The light is soft, more of a glow than a glare, parents say, and doesn't detract from their view of the road. They also say the solid ball-joint pivot makes the mirror easy to adjust to the correct angle. It adjusts easily, swiveling on a ball joint. We found that it stayed in place, not moving from its set position, in our vibration testing. However, in our strike testing, as you see below, it did change position. We did not have to re-adjust it in normal driving, even with sudden stops. Britax baby car mirror test

We had no problem getting most of the mirrors tightly strapped to the headrest. This was true both in the vehicle and on our testing stand. Installation Time Our research shows that the most common complaints about baby car mirrors are related to quality and durability. Inferior design and part quality can influence product safety, so parents are justified in their concerns. Overall, the Diono See Me Too is the best baby car mirror for keeping an eye on forward facing babies. It’s also relatively affordable and guaranteed to fit the majority of rearview car mirrors. It is obvious that each time a driver takes her eyes off the road to look at her baby there is an increased chance of a vehicular accident. This risk of distraction means that parents and caregivers must use baby car mirrors with caution. As a CPST, I used my knowledge and 50-plus hours of training to evaluate and select the car seat mirrors. Getting the whole thing unboxed, the instructions read, and set up in the van took about 20 minutes. It can most easily be powered by the cigarette lighter, but there is also a wiring option to get power from the radio, or fuse box. and a mirror that lights up via remote control so you can keep an eye on your little one while driving at night, or entertain them with one of the four light settings.
