About this deal

Choose TankBoost for a busy home, or when you need to boost water to multiple floors to achieve that enhanced shower performance, even when other outlets are running at the same time. The Salamander HomeBoost Inline Pump is compatible with mains-fed systems, combi boilers, Megaflow systems, unvented cylinders, and pressurised systems. SUITABLE FOR USE WITH BATHROOM, EN-SUITE, OR UTILITY ROOM: When selecting the right pump for your home, it is important to note that you can go up the range, but never down. For instance, a whole home pump (e.g. CTForce 30PT) can power a shower alone, but a shower only pump (e.g. CT50 Xtra) can NOT power a cistern, taps, whole house etc. The CT60 Bathroom pump is compatible with a whole bathroom, such as a shower, bath, cistern, wash basin, and tap, to boost both hot and cold water. One of the key features of the Salamander HomeBoost inline pump is its ability to detect and boost flow when needed, ensuring optimal water performance throughout your whole house.

Read our full blog article on how the Salamander HomeBoost can really help with low water pressure problems.

There are three main types of hot water system in the United Kingdom – gravity fed, mains fed: combination boiler, and mains fed unvented cylinder. Got a Home Boost, or alternative mains booster pump? Got an opinion on it? Or, got questions about mains water pressure? Boost your water pressure with a pump. It's not uncommon for houses to suffer from poor water pressure. This might be due to the location of the property in terms of its distance from the mains pipes, or to losses caused by the house's internal pipework, especially if there are several floors. If you have low mains pressure, you can have problems with appliances like dishwashers and washing machines not working correctly. It can lead to poor combi boiler performance too and also mean that it's difficult to get good performance from a shower, or that the flow of water from taps is reduced when other water using appliances like washing machines are in use.

As part of The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (1999), incoming water supply can be pumped to achieve up to 12 litres per minute, hence that being the regulated maximum output of the Home Boost.

Pre-installation

In cases where either the hot or cold water is to be boosted a single pump is needed. A single pump only has one impeller which can be connected to either the hot or cold water supply. What bar rating do I need? The pump should be fitted directly into the incoming mains supply either just after the stop-tap or just before the combination boiler. It is advised to position the pump near the stop tap, installing either vertically or horizontally, but never upside down. Ensuring there is adequate airflow to cool the motor, and ensuring that it is separated from any other appliances that generate heat. Installation
