Overall there are a ton of new army-wide abilities in the new Sisters of Battle codex and they have some amazing faction rules, so don’t sleep on everything they can do! Excellent value (for GW) with beautifully crafted figures and a decent range of units. Everything you need to start an Adeptus Sororitas force. Little to no shooting outside of 24″– You have the occasional Heavy Bolter and maybe an exorcist, but most of your shooting is limited to 24″, and most effective inside of 12″

If you need to keep a certain unit from psychic powers, then this is the way to go. It will remove all debuffs from them and keep them safe through your next turn. Meaning in a sense they could get protected from two powers. The one upgrade available to Battle Sisters is the Simulacrum Imperialis. This upgrades Shield of Faith saves from a 6++ to 5++, which is awesome. I would always expect to include a Battle Sister with a Simulacrum on my team, likely running either the Comms or Medic specialism to buff either my main shooter or fighter. Definitely remember the Blessed Bolts stratagem for the Dominions, it lets them do a whole lot of damage hopping out of a rhino or strategic reserve.

Looking at the first column of 5, there are some decent options. Guided by the Emperor’s Will is a copy of the second half of the Argent Shroud trait, which as we expressed above is extremely powerful. Shield of Aversion is decent, but it’s just a strictly weaker version of Martyred Lady’s trait. These blessings are made up of two parts: the first is a persistent effect that applies all battle long, while the second can only be temporarily activated by expending a Miracle die. Using a die with a particularly high number will extend the range at which the effect works, so make sure you weigh up your options against needing a particularly high roll elsewhere. The armour was one of the last steps, except for the corset and beads which were done right after the cloth portion in the beginning. The beads were coloured with Army Painter (AP) Uniform Grey followed by Ash Grey (AP) for the top half of the bead and a dot of Pallid Wych for highlight.

With the 2nd coat of Thousand Suns blue still wet, paint some neat Baharroth Blue into it to blend in some variations, pull the Baharroth towards the brightest areas. A notable change in this section from the last book is Litanies of Faith is now once per battle round instead of once per turn. The Triptych of the Macharian Crusade also looks pretty decent. If you have a character you really want to keep alive, this relic will help you do that.Her statline is pretty decent, especially when she sits there with 8 wounds, so she will be very durable but hard to target. Also with base S5 and T5 she will deal some decent damage and be pretty durable. Next up, Saint in the Making is a straightforward extra warlord trait Stratagem, which is always a good option to have. If you find yourself having a hard time choosing between traits for a list, it might be worth trading a cp for the ability to take an extra one on a different character! Given the other options available to Sisters, you’re unlikely to field many, if any, basic Sisters in a typical team unless you just really need bodies (since they are your cheapest model option).
