Thankfully all went well and the concrete base was a pretty decent shape, starting at 6" in the middle around the bottom drain, raising to 9 inch to the outer wall, i didnt want a big slope as i want to keep a few sturgeons and i dont want sinking food to fly straight into the bottom drain.
