About this deal

Liquid polymer clay won’t cure unless you bake it. Just like regular polymer clay, liquid clay will last for years provided you store it away from heat and direct sunlight. With beginner-friendly Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Molds, new clayers can cast intricate shapes and designs even with no claying experience. Pour liquid clay into our collection of silicone molds and bake to create magnets, jewelry and more in a wide variety of styles: Translucent: Our Liquid Sculpey ® Translucent is a colorless liquid clay that allows light to pass through the clay, yet it’s not entirely see-through like our clear liquid clay. Bring tortoiseshell and faux amber looks to life with our honey-colored Liquid Sculpey ® Translucent Amber clay. Use Liquid Sculpey ® Translucent Turquoise to mimic sea glass, or tint our translucent liquid clay to any hue you like. Use oven-safe silicone molds to cast multiples of the same shape time and time again! Liquid clay can be poured directly into Sculpey ® Polymer Clay Molds to produce earrings, bezels, pendants, geometric shapes, lace details and more. Here’s how:

Another often recommended glue, especially for jewelry use, is E6000. While it can be a very good glue for some uses, it does tend to remain gummy and never fully harden on polymer clay. Many people DO have good results, but many others do not. I suspect the issue lies with the brand of polymer clay or perhaps the age of the E6000. But don’t be surprised if you find that this glue fails for you. Glitter: Add sparkle with metallic glitter in varying colors and sizes. Try iridescent glitter flakes to mimic ice, fantasy props, opals and gems.Because waxes apply as a microscopically thin layerto polymer clay, they will do nothing to protect mica powder, glitter, paint, or metal leaf from wear or abrasion and can even remove them. You will not get a glossy shine with a wax. Instead, you’ll get a burnished sheen, but only when used on an already smooth surface.Wax applied to a textured surface will be white and unattractive.

Nature creations: Cast flowers, leaves, shells and ocean creatures for botanical and nautical crafts with our Flowers and Sea Life molds. Fantasy crafts: Our Whimsy and Boho Chic molds make fairy wings, mermaid tails, feathers, hearts and stars for magical projects. In its unbaked form, liquid clay behaves very differently from regular clay. Liquid polymer clay can do things traditional clay cannot — you can squeeze liquid clay straight from the bottle to freehand designs or pour it into molds to cast unique shapes. Both regular and liquid polymer clays bake in the oven to cure. Can I Use Regular Polymer Clay and Liquid Clay in the Same Project? Polymer clay is not glossy after baking. You can sand, buff, and polish the clay itself (see below), or you can apply a glossy varnish. To make your clay project less shiny, you could apply a matte varnish. Note that adding a glossy varnish can make translucent polymer clay seem more clear. Just like wetting a beach pebble, a glaze or varnish can make clay appear brighter and/or more translucent. Varnishes In many cases, you’ll squirt some liquid clay into a container, mix it with colour, and apply from there, rather than applying the clay directly to the model.Brand new on the market, Clear Liquid Sculpey is similar to Kato Liquid Polyclay in that it can give a perfectly clear coating when it’s clarified with a heat gun. Baking it in the oven at normal clay-curing temperatures will result in a cloudy finish. It really does need the high heat of a heat gun. It will be just slightly less shiny than Liquid Kato. Spray Varnish Alcohol inks: Tint liquid clay with a drop or two of alcohol ink — create see-through blue water effects in dioramas and cast colorful gems! While the baking temperature on the bottle’s label is as low as 265°F (130°C), I found that you will get a much clearer result when you bake at 300°F (150°C), regardless of brand. In addition to that, you can use a heat gun to further clarify thin coats.See examples below. With liquid polymer clay from Sculpey, the innovative chances are as countless as your imagination. What will you create next? Learn greater about this multifaceted liquid clay and how you can comprise it into your subsequent project.
