About this deal

After quite a bit of trouble, trial, and error, I learned that you can actually turn off the proximity sensor. So I repeated the test, and these are the numbers. They are slightly lower than done by the ceiling bounce test. I still trust these more than the ceiling bounce test I did before. Mode Hover your mouse over any particular line to see data points! Or select a flashlight at the bottom of the graph to highlight that particular graph. (Are you on a mobile phone? Hold your phone horizontally).

For Spotlight lumens, I used the integrating sphere for this. My measurements were quite a bit higher than the specifications. Marauder 2 Spot: Levels There’s a whole lot to love about the Olight Marauder Mini flashlight. Throw is fantastic, the output is good, and offering multiple levels of red or green or blue just makes the light extra fun! The unusual cell size (32650) does not bother me; I’m quite pleased that it’s possible to replace the cell. I do wish the Mini offered USB-C charging (and possibly a powerbank feature) as the Marauder 2 does. All in all, this one’s a big winner! Long Review The Big Table Olight Marauder Mini Flashlight A red indicator LED will show when the light is running out of battery. Also, the output will decrease when the battery is running low.It is compatible with Olight's MCC3 magnetic charging cable. It's convenient for charging. You don't have to worry about battery usage at any time, anywhere. It only takes about 4 hours from empty to full. It’s quite interesting that the TIR optics of the outer LEDs and the center LED with the convex shape are all made of 1 piece of plastic. Some people complained about the rectangular beam, and it’s probably because they aren’t used to it. I think our perception of a beam is usually round. It’s not like the imperfect beam of most zoomable/focusable flashlights. The LED for throw is in the center behind a convex shaped lens. The outer ring of LEDs are in the outer ring behind TIR optics. In the flood setting, the beam is really wide and smooth. I don’t really know what kind of LEDs they are. Unlike the Marauder 2 (or “M2”), this little loop does not seem to flip out and in the photo above is as exposed as it gets.

The Marauder 2 is 8% longer (so, not longer by that much), 17% wider at the head and at the body (ok, 17% is a bit more), and finally, 61% heavier (ok, this is very noticeable). On the other hand, the Marauder 2 has double the brightness of the Marauder Mini, and 200 meters (or 50%) more throw. But the Marauder Mini has a RGB LEDs, as well as vibration indicator for when you reach minimum and maximum outputs. Compared to the Marauder 2, this light is more compact and holds a lighter weight at only 16oz, which comfortably fits in your hand and feels exceptionally balanced. In comparison to Marauder 2, what are the upgrades? Firstly. Marauder mini hasRGB light and a light color indicator.Secondly. A vibrating charge indication is available for the Marauder mini. And, It uses bottom magnetic for charging.Also. Spot beam shape changed from square to circular.

Gizchina News of the week

Unlike the Marauder 2, the Marauder Mini uses the signature magnetic charging system and also has a removable battery. The customised 6500 mAh 32650 lithium-ion battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the torch and plug the USB end into a suitable USB adaptor (5 V 2 A recommended for fastest charging). The indicator light on the magnet will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 5 hours if the power supply is sufficient enough to support the 2 A output, otherwise the cable will output at a lower rate or 1 A or 1.5 A depending on the power supply. Turning this light on was a bit of a struggle. Instead of a push switch it has a dial + push switch. I had to read the manual to understand how to turn it on… men don’t read manuals you know. Here is the list with most of the high-power flashlights we reviewed in this category (Category: high-power soupcan sized flashlights). Flashlight (and Link)

Also, there are nice stretchy holster and lanyard availablefor the Marauder Mini. It can be taken hands-free. This is whyMarauder Mini is a good choice for the most powerful edc flashlight. Miniature and Powerful] Smaller than the previous Marauder series flashlights but with both flood and throw dual-beam LED flashlights, must-have for search and rescue, hunters, and all outdoor enthusiasts

This is not the end of the world. It’s very nice that it’s even possibleto change the cell, even if we’re required to buy one directly from Olight. I am also pleased that this light runs on a singlelithium-ion cell; any configuration of series or parallel just adds more complexity than I often like to fool with. (That said, cells in series or parallel is exactly why a light like the bigger Marauder 2 has the cells built in…) A fantastic torch for outdoor ventures, hunting, search and rescue, marine navigation, and much more. Dual-beam with Spot and Flood: An array of LEDs offers two powerful beam choices: a 600-meter max throw from the central LED’s spotlight beam or a 7,000-lumen max output floodlight beam from the 9 surrounding LEDs. This powerful flashlight also contains a thermal sensor that automatically downshifts power to maintain a low body temperature when there is continuous high output usage. Olight not only keeps your safety in mind but strives to prevent damage from overheating and lens obstruction. There are 2 switches in place. 1 is for changing the beam from Flood to Throw, and the other is for turning the light on/off and changing output. Available modes:
