About this deal

Those “Star-borne” appear as being made of celestial light and are seen conjured to the battlefield directly from their spaceships by the powerful Slann giving credit to the myth that they are actually spectres. The Carnosaur can be built in different ways with one option giving you a foot mounted Hero and a separate Carnosaur, built this way you’ll get 2 x Battleline units and a Hero at approximately 500pts and a great way to start playing with Seraphon. All the units can be used in a Legion of Nagash and Soulblight army too, but if you run the Hexwraiths as Hexwraiths you have 2 Battleline units for a Nighthaunt army but no Hero to lead them and a spare Behemoth as none of the 3 builds have the Nighthaunt keyword. All other build combinations will fit into Legions of Nagash just fine though. a solid box for someone who likes to convert, but tough to use in these modern times.

Some of the best casting in the game. While not on the level of the Disciples of Tzeentch, Seraphon have access to one of the most powerful wizard options in the game-The Slann Starmaster. They provide both a consistent casting base, and a powerful defensive base against magic being able to dispel up to three spells at infinite range with a +1 to the attempt. If you want to go even further the Seraphon’s only special character lord Kroak can cast and unbind 4 spells a turn! The Javelin cannot be boosted but in all other circumstances with a greater range allows to keep this fragile unit out of combat for longer. In melee they do much more damage, but not as much as a Ripperdactyl. Blessed Coatl - Breath of Dracothion - Chotec's Feather - Dracothion's Tail - Fangs of Sotek - Huanchi's Jaws - Itzalotl's Eye - Kabutoq's Quiver - Koatl’s Claw - Loxibitl's Spine - Omek's Tears - Poctli's Bolt - Potemec's Horns - Quetli's Mantle - Reptiladon’s Spine - Roaring Corona - Sotek's Maw - Starfire War - Talon of Quelec - Thunder Lizard - Tlazcotl's Gaze - Tlixa's Shield - Tzunki’s Claw - Xelbabia's Scales - Yutlpoc's Quill - Yutoa's Wings The Saurus Warriors are between the cheapest of the Saurus units, and their characteristics reflect this: 10 wounds (16 for the Alpha), Movement and Toughness 4 and 2 weapon profiles. This is one of the original Start Collecting boxes and pre-dates the new Battletome. The new Battletome makes the Gore-Gruntas batteline in an Ironjawz army or a Big Waagh!, so you can now add in other Orruk units without losing the battleline status of this box, maybe combine it with the Savage Orruks one. A solid start for one of the sneaky best armies in AoS.

The first Saurus Warriors to arrive in the Mortal Realms were the Starborne, spawned on temple ships that carved a path through the void from the World-that-Was. Between battles, they stalk the cavernous World Chambers of these vessels, honing their predatory skills. The realm-dwelling Coalesced, however, practise their hunting in the vast untamed jungles that surround their temple-cities. One of the few old sculpts to survive the purge, it is very funny to see them sitting next to their new big brothers. Now no longer the ‘elite’ melee combatants of the foot Saurus world, with regular Warriors catching the same combat profile, Guard come with a baseline 3+ save and the Selfless Protectors rule allowing them to catch incoming wounds and mortal wounds on a 3+ for non-monster Seraphon heroes. At 130 for 5 these are really spendy for what they are, but the catch is: they’re the only unit that does this job. If you’re playing Starborne your gameplan probably revolves around keeping a Slann alive. These keep your Slann alive, and therefore have a role. Skinks Remember that weird star-dream business? GW seemed to step off it in 2.0, as the core rulebook retconned them to be alive again but with blood enhanced by Slann magic. This book seems to split the difference and let you choose whichever lore you think is better. There’s 2 allegiances, The Coalesced , the “new” lore, and The Starborne , the “old” lore. Each allegiance shares its own artefacts, general traits, etc. The difference lies in the abilities each brings to the table, which subfactions they get access to, and battalions. I wouldn’t even say they favor a specific type of a unit either, not to the degree of other recent books. Atlor-ke - Ku-Quar - Klaq-Tor - Maq'uat - Narok-Gar - Oxtl-Kor - Quar-Toc - Suqek - Sutok - Takatakk - Taktak'rillo - Xoat’ar - Starblood Stalkers ( Kixi-Taka - Klaq-Trok - Otapatl - Tok - Xepic - Huachi)We carry a complete line of every size of magnetic and non magnetic bases for Age of Sigmar. Base Sizes - Chaos

Some of them can be seen riding Terradons, agile creatures suited for the hit and run tactic of the Skinks armed with javelins and bolas. Slann are by no means Saurus but since the Starmaster is the only one representing his category, we enter him as first of the list of Scale-Cohort leaders. Contents: 1 Mighty Lord of Khorne (Hero), 1 Bloodsecrator (Hero), 1 Bloodstoker (Hero), 1 Khorgorath, 5 x Blood Warriors (Battleline) and 10 x Bloodreavers (Battleline) If he does manage to kill an enemy, for a Double, as all leaders of the Scale-Cohorts, can take a bonus move or action afterwards ( Cold-blooded Commander).

Behemoth

To interplay with the new Bound endless spell mechanic, some of the new spells allow Skinks to bind Endless Spells already in play with the aptly named Bind Endless Spell, turning your opponent’s spells against them. Slann can dispel all endless spells within a 24” radius with Drain Magic, but leave Bound ones untouched. This really helps Seraphon double down on the endless spell mechanic and gives them a certain feel. Contents: 1 Lord-Aquilor (Hero), 5 x Vanguard Hunters (Batteline if General is Lord-Aquilor), 3 x Vanguard Palladors, 3 x Glyph-Hounds Cold Ones are fierce, territorial beasts that are both viciously cunning and deadly in battle. Cold Ones are notable for being extremely foul-tempered and wilful with even those of the Starborne being known for reverting to their primal instincts, sometimes even devouring unfortunate skinks. They need to be kept away from wider areas of a temple-ship or city as they cause trouble until a cohort of Saurus Knights can corral them. [1a] Wargear a right arm that can either have an open palm or an open palm with a magic ball held aloft by eldritch energies What was once one of the worst Start Collecting boxes has transformed into one of the best with the release of the AoS 2.0 Overlords battletome.
