It brings to mind confidence, trust, and contentment, but it also refers to smugness and a truthfulness that can come across as criticism. It's worth repeating: not all Slytherins are bad or destined for evil. In fact, the Harry Potter's own son, Albus Severus, was sorted into Slytherin upon his arrival at Hogwarts.
