About this deal

The "Fast Money" round is the most exciting and iconic part of Family Feud! "Fast Money" is a series of five questions that use the same format as the first three rounds, but each question has a different topic and you only have one guess. If all your answers are worth more than 100 points combined, you win 500 more bonus points! The typical explanation of Covid-19-related inflation goes like this: The pandemic disrupted the flow of the global supply chain. How much it costs companies to make a good or provide a service went up. Other crises piled on; the Russia-Ukraine war, for example, drove up the price of key commodities like oil and wheat. In response to all of this, companies raised prices to offset their higher costs.

Generally speaking, here’s how the show works: the two families take turns trying to guess the top answers to questions that were previously posed to 100 survey participants (that’s why Steven Harvey says, “Survey says . . . !”). Step 5: The team whose Captain gives a correct answer first gets the chance to play this round of the game. If they don’t want to, they can pass the chance to play the round to the opposing team.Step 7: When the team uses up their three strikes, the turn is passed to the second team. The second team gets one chance to give one of the top answers to the question. If they succeed, they will steal all of the other team’s points from that round and win the round. If the opposing team fails, the first team keeps their points for that round. It’s not just eggs that have been eye-poppingly expensive due to inflation. The literal bread and butter of the American diet cost much more today than it did just a couple of years ago: The average price of white bread was about 22 percent higher in January than it was two years ago, and flour is up almost 21 percent. Butter cost 31 percent more. Remember: the numbers listed in parentheses after each top answer are points. Make sure you add up the points for the winning team at the end of each round!

Rob Deaville, of the Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme (CSIP), about to perform a necropsy on a harbour porpoise to try to establish cause of death Whatever set up you choose, you just need a space that will allow each team to sit in a straight line facing each other, separate from the host. Several other people have tried to claim ownership of the fortune cookie but with little success. Most just agree they started appearing in the early 1900s at Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. Predicting the Future The Monday Night Club discuss whether Jude Bellingham is England's best talent since Paul Gascoigne, after he was named best young player at Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony. Why are corporate profits so high at a time when regular people feel increasingly strapped? Because a small number of players have gobbled up most of the food chain. Cargill and just three other agribusiness companies control about 70 percent of the world’s agriculture market, according to Oxfam. Brands like PepsiCo, Nestle, Mondelez, and Conagra produce and market the vast majority of the offerings found in US grocery stores.Wonton Food contracts freelance writers once every couple years to craft new messages for the company's database of about 15,000 fortunes. "We understand opening a fortune cookie is an exciting moment, so that is why we renew our database — to create exciting moments for people," says Danny Zeng, vice president of sales. One of the last such attempts to spice up messages was earlier this year, when the generally vague, sunny messages got a bit racier with quips like "The evening promises romantic interest" or "Romance and travel go together." The company did get some complaints about children receiving such sayings. "We want to create excitement, but not offend," Zeng says. You just see your price go up and you say, ‘There are these things going on in the economy. I understand that’s just the way it is.” The show is often pretty funny, since the top answers that make it onto the list from the survey participants don’t always make sense. For each top answer a team guesses correctly, that team receives a certain number of points that corresponds to the number of surveyed people who gave that answer. So if 36 people said a dog was their favorite pet, and your team guessed “dog,” you would get 36 points. Brownlow suggests the situation could be even worse than the numbers suggest. “There is potentially a huge amount of underreporting,” he says.
