Think about this dynamic for a second. Have you ever seen a man whose life revolves around his trophy wife. She says jump and he says how high? The woman is in complete control of him, she ultimately has what she wants, but she’s still not happy. This is the guy that ends up getting cheated on. Why? Well Stefan argues that it’s in the pursuit of that control that women are happy and satisfied. It’s not in the actual gaining of it. Try it for a time if you wanna experiment, do everything your woman asks you to do for like a week and I guarantee you that she will still not be happy. But if you appease her with some things and don’t let her become your mom, she will definitely respect you and give you your place as the man. You see there’s this polarity that occurs between masculine and feminine energy. As the author articulates, this discomfort arises due to a persistent, socially engineered effort to prevent a male’s purpose in life, and was detailed in various societal situations at length. Awareness to these situations created the discomfort. some of the story to become a real man are: "the honest knight who raped a girl", "in ancient Rome boys would be assigned to a master to be raised and sometimes he would ask sexual favours from them" I’m not saying all millenials are weak. To be weak is to choose to be weak. There are strong millenials out there who go against the grain and work harder than ever to ignore the pleasures and distractions of such a weak generation. His concept of manhood is essentially egotism and arrogance and a 'might is right' mentality. While he clearly expresses that weak men are a problem, he does not seem to believe that a real man would understand that there are limits to the 'alpha male' attitude that separate a strong man and a tyrant. By that I mean that the author would likely consider Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Mugabe etc. as 'real men'.

Hard Times Create Strong Men - 5 Lessons From The Book Hard Times Create Strong Men - 5 Lessons From The Book

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand there is merit in some of the chapters of this book, there is some good insight in learning to work hard in a decaying world and preservation of healthy masculinity . However Aarinos concept in the realm of protective nature, tribalism, misogyny, and blantant racism is kind of disturbing and questioning. A lot of the politics and view on ethics are studies by stefan molyneux who is living white supremist and favored amongst incels and neo nazis. If you’re interested in exploring the darker parts of human psychology that most people ignore, read The Dichotomy of the Self. Link to Book– Link to Video On the other hand, we have learned from the psychoanalysts that childhood trauma can be a severe impediment in an adult’s life. The biological literature teaches us about the dangers of excess stress – the negative effects it can have on the growth of the brain, in addition to disrupting sleep, and the development of ulcers. Why not 5 stars? Well I took 35-45 days to read it and though I appreciate the author's abandon of words and 35 long chapters, it took me a while to finish it. I have finished books twice the size of this one in roughly the same time. So that's why. Also there are a little too many quotes. This book is very in-your-face, it has some controversial opinions, but it also gives you the truth, the harsh truth that we, the Millennial's, Gen-Z'ers of today are running away from. Stefan was a great man, with great achievements, and i believe that his book series is an amazing legacy to us. If every man followed this book as their guide, we would live in a much better society and we would advance much further, with less non-sense going on. The quote is from a post-apocalyptic novel called “Those Who Remain” by the author G. Michael Hopf. One could be tempted to say that things must be this way – it is the circle of life. Stefan states examples of history in which large empires like Rome began moving away from religion, it weakened the society and gave way for barbarians to invade and take over. In our own country right now, we see the decline of our religion. Now I’m not arguing religions, whether you’re a Christian, Catholic, Muslim, or Jew, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that all of these beliefs are being challenged and replaced with things that have no moral value. You see even though all of these religions differ in practice and doctrine, there are core aspects that correspond to almost all of them. Like the the act of lying, cheating, stealing and killing, all of these things we can agree on are morally wrong. And these beliefs hold us to a higher standard of living and cause us to have individual responsibility and accountability to do what’s right. Yet in our society, we see fabricated stories and news all the time. Corrupt government officials that lie, steal and cheat and they’re the ones making the laws.

Potentially, men can ignore the loud screaming social media voices, hollow of reason and logic, and instead use reality to their advantage. Would that make people less optimistic about the lottery? Would people be less likely to play if they truly knew how unlikely it was that they would win? If you are looking for books that help you learn how to act in the world then you would be better off with Jordan Peterson or stoic philosophers such as Marcus Aurelius etc. or Robert Greene's books. Stefan Aarnio is an ant next to these giants. To be a strong man, Aarnio argues that you must work. This is your purpose as a man: to do whatever allows you to provide for your woman and your family. Aarnio contends that if you stop working, you lose your purpose and so lose your masculinity; therefore, both retirement and relying on the government for survival are unmanly. You should always be chasing as much money and power as possible, as both allow you to control your life, which is inherently manly. According to Bezmenov, the first two stages of this campaign were: 1) a systematic effort to destroy the morals, values, and beliefs of American society by promoting ideas that contradicted these values, and 2) getting these ideas promoted in institutions. Aarnio argues that both stages were successful. As evidence, he points to the fact that Americans have largely stopped practicing Judeo-Christian values and now instead worship the “new gods,” or false gods, of money, science, and atheism.

family is a bigger word than, say, your biological parents or siblings. It’s those people who will do anything for you, who are there for you and you for them. They are the ones who choose to be in your life and aren’t obligated by blood.” He could probably do with another decade or so of life experience before writing this book. The book is not well thought out, the best parts are taken from other writers, and the narration can be quite fumbling. My point is that by no means you should read this book and go out there arguing with other people about how valid are those ideas, try to impose them, or even try to criticize the world based on this book's perspective. This outlook on social evolution is only 1 idea among other 1000+ out there that determined how we got here in history. Books on history, philosophy, and economics could destroy many arguments presented by the author. I really hate the fact that aarino polluted stoicism in this book which any ancient philosopher would not would advise against some of these things.

Full Book Name: Hard Times Create Strong Men: Why the World Craves Leadership and How You Can Step Up to Fill the Need Early on in the book the author apologizes relentlessly to all of the readers who might be offended by his writing. I've never known a true "man" to engage in such apologetics when he is secure in the message he's attempting to express. The book states a warning on its cover. "Do not read this book if you are easily offended! Burn this book instead!" and that's for a reason. It contains many though-provoking, yet hard to process ideas, that wi Not to say that the content of this one (other than what was quoted from everyone else) is void of value. He has some decent ideas wrapped up in all the stupid shit. But how much shit must one consume to get that bit of undigested corn? can’t just think your way to something, you have to act, do, and that takes a man of action and patience because great things don’t come instantly, they come from time and effort spent.”
