The reason why I read this book anyway was because of the 1) fake relationship trope and 2) Sav R Miller's writing is literally so good that I'm constantly in awe of it. I have genuinely not enjoyed writing the way I have enjoyed hers in a very long time.i just hate false advertising. i’m not as triggered as i was during the second book bc now i know not to trust this author. i don’t understand the need to call this book “dark” when its all fluff and more fluff. I liked seeing Kal and Elena again. Elena definitely played a bigger role than the second one. Elena and Lenny’s friendship was sweet. I liked the Riley cameo. But damn, she really put up with some crazy shit from her family. Not a fan of that dynamic, though I suppose it resolved itself in the end. My issue with these books is that the couples are all hands off and not into each other until the very last minute of the books and then all of a sudden BAMTHEYREINLOVE. Later she really didn’t try that hard to clarify things and considering she was supposed to be in hiding she seemed very unconcerned regarding her own safety. Despite that, these two did have explosive chemistry together and the story was interesting enough to keep me reading though I did see the twist coming as soon as it was hinted at. Though I didn’t see the plot twist at first, but because I accidentally read a spoiler, saurrrrr it feels kinda meh + the epilogue was mediocre but other than that? I actually devoured.

Except, it doesn’t end up being so fake, does it? this is why i hate booktok authors, they always wanna add stupid tropes so that that one scene is featured in a video. this book had so much potential. actual chemistry but wtf?? WHERE WAS THE DARKNESS? Sav’s Monsters & Muses series honestly just keeps getting better and better with each new installment. I think Jonas is my new favorite of her heroes in this series. I might even be enough of a Jonas simp to add him to my book bf hall of fame. I did like Jonas and Lenny, I wanted more scenes together- I feel like some of the family drama took that romantic buildup away.

The only plus I can give it is that the OP drama wasn't as big as in her other books and the hero is not a manwhore. Sav R. Miller is a USA Today bestselling author of adult romance with varying levels of darkness and steam. Riley also wasn’t doing it for me. Her burying her head in the sand and ruining Aidan's career with zero attempts to rectify anything just wasn’t cool. I know the rationale used but I’m sure there was something she could have done. I mean even reaching out and explaining why she couldn’t go public would have been a start. stars ☆ Again with the other books from this series, there’s too many plot holes which made the story goes somewhere else and that it's also not memorable since I forgot most of what happened already. But the smut in this book 🤭 it's actually good ngl.Oaths and Omissions is the exact amount of dark and delicious that I love—and I’m full on obsessed with this world Sav has created.
