About this deal

Monica is really started this one off with a bang. This story has this rich aristocratic feel throughout it. It’s filled with darker tones, and top notch angst. It’s definitely different then anything else in the Lancaster world we have seen so far, and I was loving it. Now he holds all her darkest secrets, threatening to expose her to the entire school. So Summer strikes a deal with Whit. You say you love me again and I’m never going to let you go. It doesn’t matter what happens. I’m by your side until the day I die.”

And that I'm sharing with you the LAST cover from the Callahan series! Sigh. I'm feeling nostalgic right now. I've been writing about this family and their friends since late 2019. They got me through the pandemic. They made me laugh, they made me cry, they made me swoon. And now, here we are with the final story - a very special novella called A CALLA Until I saw him at my brother’s wedding. Now he’s older. Crueler. Unbearably handsome. We’re drawn to each other still, but will Spencer be there for me when I need him the most? Or did I ruin us once again? I really hope Carolina gets a book in the future and I look forward to reading other books by this author, even though Promises We Meant to Keep wasn’t for me personally!

Monica Murphy’s Promises We Meant To Keep was a beautiful and emotional story with characters who just don’t let their past dictate their present or future. A first love, second chance and brother’s best friend romance that I was looking forward to and this story did not disappoint. A non-stop adrenaline rush full of ups, downs, twists and turns from start to finish that held my desperate romantic heart hostage as I read this story. When Whit gets into trouble one night, Summer invites him in. Tends to his wounds. Lets her guard down, just for a moment . . . The only thing that I didn’t really like about this book is them doing so much “adult” stuff at the age of 13/14. It rubbed me the wrong way. It just seemed kinda unnecessary and could’ve been replaced with other things that they could’ve done to bond and get closer. I loved A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime, so I was very excited to read the next book in the Lancaster series! Promises We Meant to Keep is a second chance/brother’s best friend romance that follows Sylvie and Spencer from Thing I Wanted to Say, But Never Did.

If you read things I wanted to say, then you remember Sylvie. I am one of those people. I have been waiting for her story for a while now, and it’s nothing I could ever imagine. From the bestselling author of A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime, this is the deliciously dark Lancaster Prep novel that will have you hanging onto every word . . . I have been in love with you for so long, I don’t know how to stop. I will do whatever it takes to make this work. Until the beginning of senior year, one night at a party. When lines are blurred and eventually crossed. It was the best night of my life. A night I will never forget. Or regret. It’s all I can think about. He’s all I can think about. Sylvie is the little sister of Whit and while I didn’t really care for her in his book, she really won me over in her own! She’s an amazing character and I feel so bad for her because of what she had to go through from a young age. Not being able to have her own identity and always being compared to her mother AND her mother supporting that idea, must’ve been so painful and hard for her! This is Sylvie and Spencer’s story, we see the product of heartbreak and trauma, and how this effects both characters. There is a lot of wrongs that need to be made right and trust that needs rebuilding. I feel like Monica did a great job of having us feel for Sylvie and redeeming her. She is not a perfect person, she is flawed she is broken… but she is her and doing the best she can. Just like all of us are at the end of the day. This group is for Young and New Adult readers. For those who believe in Angels, Vampires, Werewolves, Fairies and other mythical and supernatural creatures that seem to only live in your minds. For those who love visiting bookstores and libraries. For those with wishful thinking. For those who can relate with such topics of discussion. For those who believe in love and romance. And for those who dream that they live in another place, another world in another time. Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me. What I thought would be a straight forward story of redemption turned out to be so much more. This story shows that love can overcome it all. This story can be read as a standalone, it takes place in a time line differently from “things I wanted to say, but never did”. From the bestselling author of A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime, this is the addictive Lancaster Prep novel about second chances and star-crossed love . . .

Intense and fabulously consuming. I loved every heart-pounding, gut-wrenching, over-the-top sexy moment' 5***** Reader Review year-old Farrah Lin is going to fall in love for the first time during her year abroad in Shanghai. She's sure of it. They endured so much. Went through so much pain & heartache - together and individually. There were so many secrets & miscommunication between them. They both have their own set of familial issues. It affected how they acted & treated one another, in the past. We already see that they were a couple and had their first time together (didn't understand why because they didn't seem like in love... But okayyy) after their seperation they just go on like nothing happend and at this point it was just too much for my brain 🤯 This didn't really do it for me. Maybe it's because I haven't read the rest of Lancaster Prep, or really a MM book in quite some time, but this was just flat. I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it either.the heroine was just too much.... I really understand that she had a traumatic childhood but man u don't need to treat the people u love like that 🤡 Couldn't connect with her and I don't understand why she handled things like she did Tanya wrote: "Monica, thanks for accepting me as a friend! I so loved One Week Girlfriend and am so excited for Second Chance Boyfriend! So excited! I love Drew and Fable! OH and I love the Marshmallows too. :)" The countdown is on - we are a month away from the release of 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚, coming April 19th!
