Then they will unite to defeat their common enemy who was introduced as a father figure in this book whom they turned against when they realized he was power hungry and didn’t care about them. a proper ending. The ending was rushed! We get a sort-of epilogue after the end of the book, but it ends so abruptly (for me). Then we get a chapter for the next book. Like… 🤔 what happened?? 😭😭😭 where’s my proper HEA 😩. Where are the babies I want them to have? 😭 lol I’m sure it’s like this because we’re going to get Dmitry and Claudia’s book and we’ll see them there, but stillllll 😐😭

I just finished cold hearted few days ago and was so pumped for Nikolai book since him and his brother are bat-crap crazy!! something very surprising and refreshing was that they didn’t have sex on their first night and when eventually did, well it wasn’t gentle or sweet or slow😌🥵🔥 Nikolai Petrov, known to be a sociopath and for killing anyone for the smallest infraction. And I'd be forever tied to him, an accessory he could use or dispose of any way he saw fit. Okay, let's get the technical stuff out of the way first. Missing words, a "to" or "my" missing here, a "with" or "of" missing there a "want" missing somewhere else; Story inaccuracies, e.g., the author writes "...plays with herself the way Gabriel did..." except that Gabriel hasn't yet 'played with her' in that way up to this point in the story. And yet, this is not what bothered me in this story. In fact, this story is so intense that you're willing to overlook these errors. Amara is raised to be the perfect Italian Mafia daughter. Seen not heard. And when her dad sells her and her virginity to Nikolai for an alliance between the Nosa Costa and the Bratva she terrified. Until Nikolai shows her he wants to see her relish in her own right.full 🔥. Listen. I know this isn’t a priority for many people. But man… I was feeling the bangxiety in this one 😭😭😭.

They had great chemistry together he even took his time with her on their honeymoon. I can't wait for the other brother to have his story hopefully soon. I know that it might me insignificant to most but a good portion of the polish is incorrect in this book. It was annoying to me because I always get excited when there is any polish in any book. I just don’t think it would be so hard to get the language correct with just a little more initiative. Google translate does not take in account masculine or feminine and it seems to me that’s how far in research the author went. Also — in the audiobook the pronunciation is also wrong. Amara poor innocent she's tossed into a arranged marragie to bring both sides at peace. She's going to be the perfect wife her father says. She doesn't know much about her future hubs just that he's a psycho and cruel. Until she meets him he is crazy and cold but around her he's tiny bit different, he's overprotective, possessive and well kill anyone who touches a hair on her head. And that's what he does when his woman feels threatened. NIKOLAI that man I swear I was drooling all over him!! He also had a plan with his brother but it changed with Amara. The things he says to Amara I had to change my own panties because that mouth!! I'll be his dirty girl anyday 😏 I have to say the Nikolai is probably one of the best book husbands I’ve read about in quite some time. His reputation is understandably absolutely terrifying but Amara being his wife, he treated her like an absolute queen. Took the time to care for her, yet was ruthless to anyone that even looked at her wrong. And then I found myself painted red, my wedding dress stained in blood. A man dead by my husband's hands for simply touching my hair.My path was always clear: escape Las Vegas, move to New York, live happily ever after as a professional ballerina. While there are times they do "make love", there are other times that were a bit extreme for me; like when he uses the barrel of a loaded gun (he had his reason and it accomplished his goal), but that scene made me uncomfortable. I'm not typically squeamish about kinky sex acts. I think it was just the fact that the gun was loaded that bothered me. (I kept wanting to yell, " What if you accidentally hit the trigger and the gun goes off!" Guess it's the Mother in me! LOL!) This book has some of my favorite tropes: Age Gap, Arranged Marriage, Mafia, Alpha Male, and a few others. It is also a trademark Jenika Snow naughty book and has a lot of her spicy content that we all love. (You can find a list of these in her Content warnings.) Amara knew her fate would always be marrying for the family but that did not make it easier. When the time finally came and a mafia boss was chosen for her, she was scared for what her life would be like. With Nicolai who was her fiance, and his horrific tales of murder and torture, she was convinced her life would be painful and humiliating. That is until she met her husband.
