Before he dies, the final bedtime story we see Peter give to Nemo involves him going on an adventure with Flip to the Sea of Nightmares to find a magic pearl. Nemo assumes Flip is a fictional character, but when she finds herself in Slumberland, she realises he was real. I didn't know this movie was out. I was pleasantly surprised. I watched it with the family (two daughters, 11 and 13) and what fun this movie is. It's funny, looks amazing, decent acting, really good story. We were captivated from start to end. A must see if you have kids! This is the best family movie out there at the moment.
Slumberland only dropped on Netflix last week (18th November) and yet it's already in the number one spot in the Top 10, with everyone from kids to adults (ourselves included) becoming obsessed with the movie. Netflix's newest kids movie Slumberland tells the story of a young girl called Nemo (not related to the fish) who discovers a secret map into the dreamworld of Slumberland, and there, along with the help of an eccentric outlaw (played by Jason Momoa), she embarks on a mission to try and see her late father once again. Together, they set off on a quest to find a magic pearl that lets the user wish for anything they want in Slumberland. Little do they know that the adventure will lead to a revelation that will change both of their lives forever.Before they head into the Sea of Nightmares to get a pearl (which would allow Nemo to see her father again in Slumberland), she tells Flip the truth of who he is. Learning that he's a dull doorknob salesman in real life, Flip refuses to use a pearl to wish he was awake. Jason and Marlow were joined by co-stars India de Beaufort and Kyle Chandler at the premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 9).
