About this deal

He plops down on my bed, his body bouncing slightly on the mattress. “Such a wonderful host. Do you always welcome men into your bed so lovingly?” The only thing that I’m annoyed is with this series is Emily has a set structure where she creates the “problem” of the book right at the end and -especially for Twisted- the epilogue just felt too soon and too rushed. Maybe it’s just me but I wanted to see Yasmine and Julian in their happily ever after fazes. Julian Faraci has one goal: to become the most powerful man in the world. He's built a future from broken bones and faded bruises, never caring who he hurt along the way. But when his mentor falls ill, he finds himself on the verge of losing everything, and he'll stop at nothing to inherit what is rightfully his. Even if it means forcing a woman he can't stand into marriage.

Yasmin is a brat who speaks out of turn, and he's the villain of her story. But he decides she'll be his-no matter what it takes to convince her. The Author Resource Round Table on Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_folder/116489?group_id=26989Jasmine Karam, daughter to one of the richest men in the world, has never known strife. So, when her beloved father falls ill, she's determined to make his final days his happiest. His last wish? To see her married to a man of his choosing. Except Jas The family dynamics were the most interesting and real part of the story. Whether it is love, guilt, or obligation, toxic and abusive family members aren’t always easy to cut off or distance yourself from. Julian’s strained relationship with his mother displayed that well, and Yasmin’s devotion to her father lightly touched on it. The sex scenes are yummy yummy! After the tease and longing when they finally were with each other- gosh it was everything! I need a Daddy Julian in my life pretty pls!🤧 This Book was too good! It's an Aladdin retelling! It's a mixture of so many tropes 😭 Forced marriage, enemies to lovers, age gap & touch her you die! 🥺

I point to the en suite. “Shower.” To the closet on the right. “Clothes.” To the mattress. “Bed.” Her gaze follows, and she chews on her lip, nodding. I point to her now. “Stay.” “Woof,” she barks.” Thank you to the Publisher, Emily, and NetGalley for providing me this free ARC in exchange for an honest review. Other than that, I really enjoyed this fourth installment in the series. Twisted was dark, sultry, sexy, and such an addicting read. Julian forever lives in my head rent free from here on out. Bless Emily for writing a man who definitely knew what to say in the bedroom.Yasmin is a brat who speaks out of turn, and he's the villain of her story. But he decides she'll be his—no matter what it takes to convince her. one of the things thats sorta become a pattern in these books is that i noticed the H tends to change drastically for their h by the end of the book, which makes it turn from dark to sappy/cringey. like, at first youre presented with this morally grey H. then they meet their h and turn all cheesy & mushy. 🙄 the third act conflict also always has them outsmarted & surrendering to their enemies to save the h. its supposed to be heroic, but i found it rather undignified (the way they did it). i mean, i wanted these antiheroes to be formidable, undefeated, and always save the day (by being smart, cunning, and in control). i wanted them to want to have their cake and eat it too lol.
