About this deal

The Uniden UBC-125XLT airband radio has a wide range of frequencies to listen to airband , military and other popular airwaves. Utilising Uniden's 'Close Call capture' this scanner will log into the strongest signal and allow you to instantly listen to the conversation. That Nagoya one is no good, its an amateur radio one for 144 and 430 MHz only. If you are only interested in civil airband then go for an aerial that does just that. Wide band ones aren't as good. Let's face it what is not digital these days that can be received on a scanner, only civil and military airbands to be honest. A: To program this scanner manually, you will first want to make sure that everything is deleted out of it first, like the preprogrammed states such as Alaska. To do this you will want to turn off the scanner. While it is turned off you will push in and hold in the 2, 9, and Hold keys. Continue holding these down while you power on unit. Once you see all memory clear let go of all the keys. It will then ask you if you would like to restore the preprogrammed states in. Push the no key which is located below the 7 key. At this point your scanner will say, scan mode nothing to scan.

Like the scan feature on your car stereo, the Uniden Bearcat EZI33XLT+ also features a control feature that enables the user to control the scan process - including starting and stopping searches, as well as jumping to the next channel. The UBC125XLT has a good-sized screen and a keypad as well as many different features such as 'Close Call' which will detect nearby signals. This compact handheld is our cheapest model that covers the military airband channels as well as the civil airband. Plus it covers all the most popular VHF and UHF bands. also ensure you install the Scan125 according to the Driver Installation Instructions and the Program May I suggest you retry my Scan125 program. ARC125 only supports the loading and saving of data. My program will do this and allow full control of the scanner as well. e.g. starting and stopping of scans, holding, step up, step down etc. etc.It is important to decide what you want to listen to before buying a scanner - it is false economy to buy a cheaper one only to find later that it misses out some frequencies that you would like to listen to. Ideally make a list of all the frequencies you are likely to want to listen to and then see which of the scanners covers all of them. I believe tat your program works 110% as expected just me that was probably not doing something correct. I just decided to buy a copy of the arc125 software for my scanner.

Went for the Watson W-889 Tele-Gainer in the end, very similar to the 881, but telescopic, making it a bit more portable. Had to choose something, my head was spinning with all the options. An original Uniden charger for use with various scanners, including UBC60XLT2/3, UBC120XLT, UBC220XLT, UBC280XLT, UBC3000XLT.In addition to all the features on the unit, there is optional software available for PC programming. Afully featured scanner that can be used either mobile (12V) or homebase, it is supplied with both a 12v power lead and a mains transformer. The scanner has 9000 memories and optional GPS support. The SDS100’s digital performance is better than any other scanner in both simulcast and weak-signal environments. The SDS100 is also the first scanner that allows you to decide what to display, where, and in what colour. Custom fields put the information important to you right where you need it. M6UCW wrote:Get a comm to USB converter from Maplin - most people dont have comm ports anymore so it shows the age of the cable they provide. Scanners are wide band radio receivers that cover arange of frequencies. Most have "gaps" in their coverage and generally the more you pay the fewer gaps they have. The main gap that the cheaper scanners haveis the UHF Military Airband.

A compact amplified speaker ideal for use with handheld radios such as scanners, Amateur & CB, where the output from them is not powerful enough to drive a normal speaker. When using a scanner you can either use the 'Search' mode where it searches through a range of frequencies until it stops when it finds a transmission for you to listen to, or use the 'Scan' mode where you store specific frequencies into the scanner and it will just scan through these frequencies until it finds a transmission. You can have a group as large or as small as you like. If you want to add the 8 PMR446 channels, you don't need to waste a whole bank of 50 just for 8 channels. The Uniden SDS200E mobile/base scanner has the same features as the handheld version SDS100E, plus some extra enhancements. It is powered by either 12V from your car or using the supplied 12V mains adapter. The Radioworld R-881 Super Gainer is the one to choose for really long distance reception. High quality Upgraded engineering and ergonomic design ensure that it is the natural replacement for those seeking to extend their receiver’s range. * 25 - 1900MHz * 41cm long * BNC Connector, If you like the Watson W-881, then you will love this. Ideal for the UBC125 UBC75 or UBC3500 and other BNC & SMA connector scanners alike!, Ham Radio Shops. ARC125 is a programming software designed for the Uniden BC125AT / UBC125XLT and the UBC126 scanners. It is a versatile memory editor available on the market including cut/copy/paste options. You can also move channels up and down, import and export CSV data. RogerD wrote:What are they thinking, with this one? Have they decided that lots of people would have been happy with the 230 if only it had featured Mil Air, wasn't red, and they were too scared of Dynamic Memory? A scanner usually lets you set either AM (Amplitude Modulation) or FM (Frequency Modulation). The scanner may also have NFM (Narrow FM) and WFM (Wide FM) but for listening to aircraft transmissions you should only use the AM mode.

It's so much better than banks, because I have for example the amateur system, which contains different groups: 70cm repeater, 70cm simplex, 2m repeaters, 2m simplex. Note this charger only comes with a 2 pin EU plug, so you will need to use it with a EU plugadapter (eg shaver adapter). A: If favorites are being scanned, then systems or control channels may have changed, so favorites may need to be rebuilt. Try scanning full database to see if any trunking systems can be received. NEW - Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, frequency coverage from 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225-512MHz and 806-960MHz with 5/6.25/8.33/10/12.5KHz frequency steps. After installing the driver the scanner should be listed as either a BC125 or UBC125 in the Windows device manager. This indicates the driver was properly installed. After installing the driver the ARC125 software should recognize the scanner. The Uniden Bearcat UBC125XLT is a very popular hand-held scanner for listening to airband transmissions and can be bought for a very reasonable price compared to other scanners.
