Young readers are sure to identify with Grace-Ella.’ Andrea Reece, Lovereading4Kids So with that the ride carries on and on the 29th July we set off and we do this in memory of the most amazing little girl in the world who shown more strength and determination than any 9 year old should have to face. You are the reason we carry on Ella, and we know you'll be overseeing us in spirit." Kirstly told the Liverpool Echo: "She pulled through and came around and doctors said if she carried on this way they could restart chemotherapy."Scans were carried out on the nine-year-old from Warrington and they found a tumour on her brain. Tests showed it was cancerous. Ella then underwent an eight and a half hour operation at Alder Hey Children's Hospital to remove it. Ella is similar to other popular girl names ending in a, such as Emma, Sofia, Olivia, Ava, and Bella. Variations of Ella include Elah and Ela. Ella is also quite flexible and can be used in compound names like Ella-Mae, Ella- Marie, Ella-Rose, Ella-Grace, Ella-Rae, Ella-Louise, Ella-Jade, and Ella-Jane. She's got an older sister Jess and they were dead close, she was always out with the kids and always wanted cuddles and to sit on your knee. She was definitely the sassy one." The Manchester Evening News reports that a fundraiser was set up to help the family through the difficult journey, which will now be put towards funeral details and the family as well as donations to Alder Hey, This weekend, Kirsty will be completing a charity bike ride in her cousin's memory.

Ella continued to fight, but tragically, the family were soon told the cancer had spread and it was terminal. Ella died at Alder Hey on July 20, surrounded by her loving family. Ella's condition deteriorated significantly as she developed slurred speech and uncontrollable limb motions. According to her cousin Kirsty Eltringham, she needed extra surgery due to fluid buildup on her brain, but the outlook was uncertain, and there were fears about her waking up following the procedure.

Ceri added: "Kelly was a lovely outgoing girl. She had a beautiful smile but behind her smile, she was suffering so much with her mental health. Being a witch is exciting but it isn’t easy. Will Grace-Ella’s best friends still want to be friends with her? Will she be any good at spells? Can she stop the school bully without revealing her magic and breaking the witches’ rules? It means so much that Ella-Grace is doing this for her cousin. She is dedicating a song for her on the night. She is proud to be doing this for her and raising awareness for others going through mental health."
