About this deal

Pre-set buttons are mixed bag. All seem to constantly fire their state so if mapped to a button that is repeatable I believe you would get constant inputs. That being said they are labeled for binary functions already and work great for those in nearly every aircraft. For something like that you’re probably going to go searching for a machine shop that will do small one-off jobs. Could get pricey unless you know someone who can do you a favour. The gear selector works, the axis work, the buttons on the yoke work, but the buttons on the yoke base and buttons/knobs on the Bravo do not work. I also find it shows as uninstalled in Content Manager, but unable to be installed from there, as others have described. Recently had to reinstall anyway as the lights had stopped working. Still shows uninstalled in Content Manager despite working again.

The accompanying throttle quadrant throws more inputs in the mix, from throttle levels to vernier controls, plus a dedicated trim wheel. There's also a status panel with various switches and LEDs, all tied to the game. While the throttle doesn't feel as refined as the yoke, it's impeccable in terms of function. I use the NgxU 737 and all works, however if i try in the ngxu BBJ expansion i get the following errors: The case-hardened piston shafts were pitted too deep for reuse and I had no problem getting permission to take the discarded steel. I simply did the machine work during lunch and/or after my shift. The buttons work correctly, however the button LIGHTS do NOT. I can't seem to find where and how the lights are programmed for a particular push button. Yes wait for it if nothing else for the fact that they are using Hall effect sensors vs potentiometers. High quality pots are fine and from what I understand (but have never verified) is that the original alpha uses more premium pots. HESs however allow higher resolutions and longevity. Definitely worth it. But I expect it to be better versus the common wrong behaviour of sim pilots of controlling the elevator via trim inputs instead of yoke movements. Trim should be only used to cancel the forces on the yoke, not for actually controlling the plane. I am having problems I have followed your instructions but nothing. I don't even have the Honeycomb under Addon's any suggestion why that is

Hey, you are the only other person I know that uses (used) the X45. That is what I am using now. I have just started to notice some noise in the rudder paddle. I have some questions if you don't mind: But when in the market for new accessories for the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke & Switch Panel Flight Controls provide one of the best experiences you will find at that price range. The device costs a small premium over alternatives for substantial quality-of-life adjustments, whether the comfort of its high-quality design or easy handling. But when looking for long-term value from your setup, this yoke guarantees a smooth experience throughout any virtual flight. The motor is driving the rotating screw which moves the point of bungee attachment - simple and clever.

that's what I figured. It looks like I have to do the same in P3Dv4.5 with the Axis Assignments for the various aircraft, since the last used assignment remains loaded. Was thinking of getting the Alpha... is the fact that it is using pots really a bad thing ? I though everyone praised the Alpha upon release ? And if hall effect sensors so much better, is there a particular reason they did not use them in the first version as this technology has been around for many years ? Over on the MS Forums, about every 4th post is about somebody trying to get the honeycomb to work the way it should. At their price, I doubt that it is the most used hardware, but sure does raise a lot of issues. I want a yoke, but I am afraid of the price vs. performance issues. Flight simulator accessories maker, Honeycomb Aeronautical, has showcased several upcoming Xbox and PC-compatible products.

The issue is not the pot itself, its their microcontroller. The current alpha yoke has only 8-bit resolution (256 steps) on both pith and roll axes. That’s way too little for 2020 standard.

Take note of the position of the linear potentiometer I’ve circled above. That’s the neutral position for the pitch. I loaded and activated the 747 profiles and it seems to work in the B747-400 as well as the B747-8 expansion.
