Cat says that she loves elderly people, and thinks it's "so cute" how they shake when they pour their juice. This friendship has started in the episode, #TheKillerTunaJump. Cat decides to call Freddie on Sam's phone to make Sam jealous since Jade and Sam are now best friends. Cat convinces Freddie that Sam was in an accident, so he flies to L.A. to see if she's okay and learns that this isn't true. Cat ends up flirting with him and they both share a nice Spanish conversation before they spend the whole day together. Even though Freddie learns he was used, they do still have a minor friendship between each other. Because of this, she only has absences in season 1, and she is the only main character who has absences contained in one season. She can occasionally say something witty or intelligent but after that, it's a running gag that she says something that everyone already knows. Sensitive, she can sometimes be talkative or shy and her personality can differ based on her mood. It is a common fan theory that she is bipolar, which makes sense, based on her changing personality.

Sam does have a sweet, sensitive side, as shown in YayDay when she gave Cat a gift that she really wanted, although to most people she seems like a bully, which she used to be in iCarly. Sam has a bit of a smart mouth, which keeps her and Cat avoiding trouble. According to Jade in The Breakfast Bunch, she is a vegan. Although Cat never said "yes" and there was no proof about her being a vegan. In the episode, Cat bit into the top of the (presumably meat filled) taco. It is not clear if the bite included any meat. She said in the episode A Film by Dale Squires that one time she ate a hamburger, which made her sneeze (though it is not impossible that she became a vegan sometime after this). But in real life, Ariana Grande is, in fact, a vegan.
