With her stern determination to do anything it takes to reach that position of power, she overcomes every obstacle that fate has placed her way. What about her enticed you?Gruoch is not what I would call a particularly likable character. She has many faults, but I think Schuler did an exceptional job of showing female ambition, guile, and Gruoch's will to not only survive but to thrive. I feel like there needs to be space for women to be driven and wrathful and just downright selfish, and just unapologetically themselves without being vilified, even if she is ultimately a villain.
