As a name, "Rowan" means "little red-head". Additionally, she mainly composes pop music. Sunny and Violet are very close, as the two have been friends since they were young children, their moms are friends, so they've known each other forever. Sunny always hypes up The Vi Life and congratulates her on important milestones, while Violet is always there to compliment Sunny's exceptional creativity. Violet however, broke her trust when she didn't send the papers to get their rooms together because Violet wanted to meet new people. But, they made up later and are still very close and are great best friends. Perky Goth: Jade Hunter wears a spiked collar in the show, wants a therapy tarantula, and has a style typically referred to as edgy. She also specializes in makeup and is rather upbeat.The designs of the characters take inspiration from Real Life designer brands (Supreme, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc.) with the names replaced with "Rainbow", "Sparkle", the like. Sunny and Poppy hit off their friendship nearly instantly, with Poppy being the one to cheer her up after learning about her dorm. She greatly admires those who are more notable than her, rather than showing envy or jealousy, and wishes nothing more than to join them in the spotlight. Despite her dramatic tendencies, she's also shown to be a pretty practical person who handles pressure well. Having the online platform she does, she's no stranger to criticism and has learned not to lose her head over every negative comment.
At Rainbow High, Pacific Coast High, and Shadow High, students choose an area of Focus. Students may choose more than one area of Focus such as Jett Dawson and Ainsley Slater. With the group being more bonded and together than before, they are all surprised by Ms. Wright's special assignment. This assignment is to make cheer uniforms and design a cheer to go with them. While each girl takes on a separate job, Poppy decides to create personalized pompoms for each of the girls, with her pompoms being used in the final cheer. The 1980s Cheer uniform takes cue from the cheer uniform of Monster High, which is known for codifying the High School AU toyline trend in the 2010s. Even the Rainbow High logo font is similar to its own. At the beginning of the episode, she makes a minor appearance with her friends arguing about Ainsley's new fashion designs, asking for them to stop fighting and just enjoy.

Violet reveals she bought ice skating lessons for Poppy for the holidays, claiming she needs them fast. Although Poppy creates music in several different genres, her personal favorite to listen to is Pop. [4] Poppy makes a very minor appearance within the episode, only appearing near the end during the school pep rally cheering for Aidan and the football team along with the cheer squad consisting of the other main girls. Poppy appears with her friends again, this time being seen working with her friends for the scavenger hunt as Violet hosts. Continuing to work on the runway project, Poppy accidentally hurts Jade's feelings after critiquing her mohair and makeup looks. With Jade now feeling down, they are all pulled to an escape room made by their advisor Ms. Morton, where they all work together to find clues to solve the puzzle.
