Another great pair of SoundMagic budget earphones, the E11C in-ears continue the fine work of their predecessors and deliver an entertaining, upfront sound, complete with a remote control and mic. And we can’t argue with that. SoundMagic might have got rid of the red cable from its headphones, but otherwise the E11Cs look identical to their forebears, with a typical cylindrical, aluminium casing design and a choice of small, medium and large silicone tips, which are also now silver. There’s a storage case, too, which is handy for avoiding cable spaghetti when stashing them in a bag.

I later plugged the E11C to my Macbook and it actually sounds great out of it, with more body/ texture in the mids compared to phones and a more dynamic performance. There is also more air andan improved soundstage as there seems to be less roll-off on the treble. They hold their own, though, thanks to a clean, organised and direct presentation that’s immediately rewarding. They’re also comfortable and easy to live with, which goes a long way when you’re looking for the perfect pair of in-ears.

I can really recommend the Soundmagic E10 if one's looking for a natural, dynamic, non-fatiguing sound signature. They provide honest, effortless reproduction of audio material. The E10 are definitely worth their money, and then some."

Previous incarnations of the range (such as the E10S/ E50S) had a bulky switch that you toggled depending on whether you were using the in-line controls with an Android or Apple smartphone. As a relatively cheap IEM, it is likely the E11C will be paired primarily with modest sources such as smartphones that generally features lower output.
