They made reader love them, they made reader sad, they made reader angry, they made reader laugh, they made reader cry, and they made reader believe in the promise of love and home. I loved seeing Alanna and Silas fall for one another, their friendship and then romance was so sweet to see and I just believed in their connection right away.

This storyline was so intoxicating and good that I ended up listening while also reading the words on the pages because I was so consumed by the story!

This is the 30th book, but considering Alex has survived "Kill Alex Cross" before, chances are he survives this one. I don't think any book has ever ripped my heart out and pieced it back together quite like this one. This is one of those books that just alters your brain chemistry and I will never forget Silas and Alanna’s story! For those who love gritty, somewhat nasty mysteries with weird, and an exotic setting in one of the world’s most famous cities, this thriller mystery will satisfy.

I almost wish it wasn't referenced at all rather than the halfway insight we get which is riddled with plot holes. From the first chapter, I was completely captivated as Silas and Alanna met for the very first time as children at a graveyard.
