About this deal

So if your boiler/motorised valve what ever the existing one feeds is 24 volt then the Hive/Wiser back plate can only be used with the one channel version, and it seems you want two channels. That's an industry standard backplate, so you don't necessarily have to have another Danfoss programmer, unless you want to. checked with Christine who arranged correct drawing or something close by, I asked Jaccuzi for information on installation kit, still waiting for a reply. Ideally, I would like to be able to replace it with something that can reuse the existing wiring and backplate to save having to install a new backplate and rewire it. I got it wrong, so trying to stop you making same mistake, I selected Energenie as was told they worked with Nest, but that is not the case.

If however as likely it switches 230 volt, then you can fit a system which can link to TRV's in the future allowing you to control each room independently. I would think the Hive or Drayton Wiser system would likely suit, both use same back plates, but the big question is what voltage is now used? My advice: Find an electrician who enjoys heating controls and let him/her select the product that will do the job.Basic way central heating works, programmer sends power to thermostat, and thermostat sends power to motorised valve, and once valve is fully open it sends power to boiler. Small and compact in size but with a quality, sharp display, the Danfoss FP720 is really easy to use. However it shouldn't be difficult as the wires will go to the terminals of the new programmer that have exactly the same functions as the existing one.

Danfoss FP715SI 7 Day 24 Hour Or 5/2 Day Programmer

Relieved to see that this programmer is still available but thanks to coronavirus getting a tradesman to fit one could be a problem as we are in isolation due to age. So I'm not sure if the programmer is just duff, or if there is a certain combination of events which is causing the programmer to trip out. It seems the Drayton Wiser TRV head is about the best, with algorithms to work out how long it takes to heat a room without over shooting, and the base has the option to work with OpenTherm with an add on module. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Danfoss owners to provide you with a good answer. But can I bypass the wiring of the danfoss to just make the CH on all the time, so it can then be left switched off on the danfoss? It can be hardwired or configured for battery operation, depending on the user's preferences and needs.

I would like to know whether I should dispose of it (rather wasteful) or whether you are going to collect it. These have been discontinued by Danfoss and their DANFOSS replacement the FP720 does not have the same back plate and will need an Electrician. You can then set 2 or 3 on/off points for each day, enabling you to make your central heating work to your schedule.Adjust the desired temperature using the temperature arrows and the thermostat will remain at this temperature until the next scheduled program change. The FP715 Si can be configured by the installer at time of installation to provide 7 day, 24 hour, or 5 day/2 day operation and to provide either 2 ON/OFF"s or 3 ON/OFF"s per day, allowing the time control to be tailored to match the specific requirement of the consumer.

FP715 Si User Instructions - Danfoss

This thermostat can control both the heating and hot water systems, providing convenience and flexibility. If you require this as a direct replacement for the FP715Si, please note that whilst the back plate is the same size the connections are not the same and some wiring (by a competent person) will need to be carried out. I currently have installed a Danfoss FP715Si (TP9000) 2-channel CH/HW programmer, but the factory-set clock is entirely wrong and it is just getting old. If you would like to change your settings or withdraw consent at any time, the link to do so is in our privacy policy accessible from our home page. Probably it would need connecting to the wiring centre, not to the controller as you have with the TP9000.If there are no 2-channel CH/HW programmers/controllers that would fit the existing backplate, are there any new controllers where the backplate can be replaced and the existing wiring could simply be rewired (copied) over to on a like-for-like basis? I'll take it that you know for certain that the programmer is at fault, and not another part of the controls such as a motorised valve or thermostat for example. Although your likely not considering swapping all TRV heads to linked heads now, before selecting a replacement you need to consider what you may want to do in the future. Assuming that the wiring of a new programmer is still the same is it a DIY job for someone with basic skills but definitely no knowledge of electrics?
