The depth is a little better this year, but 2015 will still likely struggle to match 2014 in the year-over-year comparison. As the couple’s CG train zips between districts, we see how Snow’s stormtroopers clamp down on what little freedom remains, offset by the empty frivolity of life in the capital — a nonstop binge-and-purge banquet where wild hairstyles and lavish costume changes provide a distraction from an idle existence. That said, they would have to truly bomb to not at least make the top five, but I doubt either of them will top Spectre over the weekend. There is also a semi-wide release coming out, The Letter, but its reviews are terrible and its box office chances might be even worse.

February was strong thanks to The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and Fifty Shades of Grey, both of which beat expectations. On the other hand, the other two releases are The Night Before and Secret in Their Eyes, neither of which is expected to do particularly well. This week the big release is Divergent, which the studio is hoping will be the start of a new franchise. But before you go letting your 9 year old watch it, let's go over the story, as well as the pros and cons. Much of that time is spent deepening our comprehension of this savagely cruel society and heightening the stakes for the impending insurrection.This should be a reason to celebrate, but it marks a very steep decline from previous films in the Hunger Games franchise. Katniss gets to experience luxury like she’s never experienced before on the train, and she gets to eat the richest, most sumptuous meals imaginable. The counter-programing this week is Muppets Most Wanted, which is also opening with a saturation level theater count and it looks to do as well as The Muppets did. Positive massages:4/5, Many of the haters of this movie are disturbed at the teens killing teens aspect of the story, but I think that is the point. Then there is The Legend of Korra - Book Two: Spirits, which may or may not be coming out on DVD or Blu-ray this week.
