Refusing to be a servant, Megatron shook off Unicron's control long enough to hurl himself into an Energon sun created by Primus, once again appearing to give up his life rather than let Unicron win. The red blocks atop his shoulders are entirely painted, making their pegs at risk for scraping during transformation. Galvatron includes a Unicron Companion Pack meant to be added to the immense War for Cybertron Trilogy Unicron toy.Released in the second wave of the MyClone line of Transformers PVC figures, this super deformed Galvatron comes with a hexagonal purple display stand, which can link up with the identical stands included with other MyClone figures. In a first, by concealing the base of the cannon within the robot torso, the toy's transformation manages to depict the purple-upper body-to-grey-cannon trick as seen in the animation, a design goal since the 2008 Universe toy. His face mold was slightly retooled into a more angry, sneering expression, and his electronics were totally overhauled, now running on two AA batteries instead of a 9-volt. The figure is sculpted to resemble his anime-styled Studio OX character model, while also including a rifle based on the accessory from the original G1 toy.

Offered through a TV Magazine contest in late 2008 alongside a " Lucky Draw" Optimus Prime, this golden-chromed Galvatron was limited to five pieces. The Mini-Cons tried to negotiate with Megatron, offering to surrender themselves in exchange for sparing the Autobots. The left arm now retains the "correct" robot-mode plastic color, instead of being painted over in tank colors as the Hasbro version was. The Decepticons joined the Autobots and Mini-Cons in battling Unicron, who emerged from another dimension via a portal close to Cybertron. The other would be granted to Demolishor, so that scheming Starscream's power could be held in check.However, as with the other characters, his animation model underwent further modifications before being finalized. Megatron haulted his assault, and reiterated his demand that the children turn over their Mini-Con companions. A further ten years later, when the energon sun collapsed into a black hole, Megatron was freed, having transformed Unicron's remains into a suit of armor that greatly magnified his already-impressive power. Even without the power of the Mini-Cons, who had disappeared from Cybertron millions of years past, Megatron and his Decepticons were still a conquering force to be reckoned with. Megatron managed to rip QuickFire from the Autobot, but found himself under attack by Jake Williams in his pickup.

Characters from franchises known for more unique aesthetics, such as Prime and Animated, are updated with the modern Generations aesthetic to fit with the rest of the toyline, which can range from a significant redesign to the same basic model just rendered more like a modern " Generation 1" toy. According to Mini-Con lore, when their ancient enemy Megatron came to Earth, he was able to stomp out entire cities underfoot due to the humans' lack of defenses. He features printed light purple "battle damage" on his upper torso along with opaque orange "particle" effects at the base of his cannon barrel, and painted battle damage on his lower legs, similar to figures from the previous two War for Cybertron Trilogy toylines. In addition, it includes 14 tiny mini-figures, listed above, thus filling out the set begun with the Galvatron and Rodimus included with Unicron and the Optimus Prime included with the Centurion droid.
Released as part of the second wave of the e-HOBBY exclusive Transformers Character Card series, this pair of holographic trading cards depict super-deformed art of Rodimus Prime and Galvatron along with character profiles and tech specs. As a result, Starscream didn't need to die to convince him; the surviving Starscream led the Decepticons after Megatron's death; when Megatron came back, the Autobot-Decepticon alliance hung together anyway. I have taken a few images of the ones I have with me right now, the regular release is at Uni so won't be able to compare the three till mid January now but to me the selects version just pops, the cherry red and dark purple really contrast the grey well and the darker face makes it pop so much more. In the planned Transformers Chess Set by Eaglemoss, a relatively large and very well detailed statue of Galvatron was slated to be the replacement King piece on the Decepticon side.
