I knew I would love it as soon as I read the synopsis, but I was not ready to be bombarded with these intense emotions. Ledger is a guy who can be a middle ground between Kenna and her daughter Dim as he lives across the street from Scotty’s parents and develops a good relationship with them and develops a friendship with Dim. Throughout the whole book I felt as if Scotty was developed more as a character/love interest than Ledger, circumstance brought Kenna and Ledger together with a sprinkle of lust.

On the other hand, Ledger finally learns of Kenna’s true identity but he realizes Kenna’s situation is going on. Scotty - Scotty and Kenna's love was so pure, told through the hundreds of letters that Kenna had written to him whilst in prison. Kenna's journey is marked by resilience, determination, and a deep yearning to make amends for her past.
