About this deal

There are 50 leading actresses and in that regard, I can say the book is divided into 50 parts, at least 3 pages for every Hammer Queen. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Very nice book with beautiful pictures and full of original informations about Hammer and the actresses. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.

Secondly, I was very surprised to find that Kirsten Betts, one of the most striking female icons of Hammer, is not even mentioned in this book. Stacked with all the Hammer beauties, as well as those who passed thru, it fleshes out the girls as ambitious, knowing and tells you where they are now. And Pippa Steel, who played not least than two vampire Hammer films, and who does not appear anywhere in this book . To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Great book full of amazing pictures of the very glamorous and beautiful actresses that appeared in the history of Hammer Horror during its history.

Everyone remembers the incredible scene in The Vampire Lovers where this beautiful female vampire tries to bite the Baron, and where the latter beheads her with a blade.

The book is very well written, the respect the Hammer Studios have for their actresses is clearly seen on the artwork design, there are a lot of interviews and informations on every actress figuring in the book.Over fifty years ago, with the release of "The Curse of Frankenstein" and Christopher Lee's iconic performance in "Dracula", Hammer ushered in a whole new era of blood and barely-restrained cleavage in glorious colour, mixing sex and horror with a style and panache that made the small British company world famous. If you think the Hammer Studios brought the magic touch to the horror on screen, if the Hammer films are more than just guilty pleasures for you, then like any other Marcus Hearn book, this is a must-have. The photos are fantastic too, the cover photo of the busty Madeline Smith is a perfect choice to capture the look of "Hammer Glamour" as a whole - I'll admit it was a deciding factor in my purchase too! To be honest, I bought this book guessing that I'll turn every single page of the book looking at the beautiful pictures, than put it on my shelf.

First, I do not understand why the author speaks negatively about the movies or scenes where nudity is exploited. Fazit: Ein "Hammer-Buch" wie es im Buche steht, aus der Buchreihe von Marcus Hearn (The Hammer Vault: Treasures From the Archive of Hammer Films, The Art of Hammer: Posters From the Archive of Hammer Films und The Hammer Story: The Authorised History of Hammer Films)! Bursting at the seams with rare and previously unpublished photographs from Hammer’s archive and private collections worldwide, and featuring many new interviews, “Hammer Glamour” is a lavish, full colour celebration of Hammer’s female stars, including Ingrid Pitt, Martine Beswick, Caroline Munro, Barbara Shelley, Joanna Lumley, Nastassja Kinski, and of course Raquel Welch (who can forget her fur bikini in “One Million Years B. Marcus Hearn was the editor of Hammer Horror magazine, and with co-author Alan Barnes, he has written The Hammer Story, Tarantino A-Zed, and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. You get mini biographies of each actress and the movies in which they appeared, minimal nudity so adults only.Para Los fan de la Hammer es una gozada tener este libro donde se habla de todas las grandes y bellísimas actrices que formaron parte de ese Universo cinematográfico Tan especial. New/unread, but some mild wear/damage to its cover and edges (such as scratching, slight creasing, etc. A must for fans of horror and the history of Hammer films Great book full of amazing pictures of the very glamorous and beautiful actresses that appeared in the history of Hammer Horror during its history. There was a fair chance that you would see the mammarilly gifted Maddie Smith in various states of undress (pictured on the cover), or Polish bombshell Ingrid Pitt sinking her teeth into some unsuspecting virginal prep school girl. To my surprise, my wife also enjoyed flicking through the pages and commenting on some of the lovely ladies and what they were wearing (or NOT wearing) and agreed it was great addition to my horror collection. Fantastic book full of really interesting facts about the Actress's who graced Hamner film productions.
