Polyurethane sealants are becoming more common place within the industry. As more caravans and RV's shift towards fibreglass panels, the use of single component polyurethane sealants such as Matrix FC or Sikaflex 221 is increasing. Once the coating is dry, you can finish the job by applying a sealer. A sealer helps protect the coating and ensure that it lasts longer. When applying a sealer, make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Once the sealer is dry, your caravan roof is now protected from further damage and wear and tear. Before attempting to repair your caravan roof, it is important to identify the exact problem. If you are not sure what is wrong, it is best to take it to a professional who can inspect it and tell you what needs to be done.

Once the old material is loosened, use a putty knife to lift the edges of the material and pull it away from the surface. Pull off as much of the material as you can.
