About this deal

There isn't that sense of childlike wonder when coming face to face with Earth's prehistoric monsters. Facial complexions are highly revealing as well, showing every wrinkle and pore in the faces of the cast.

The epitome of the summer popcorn blockbuster event, 'Jurassic World' delivers on its promise of satisfying "leave your brain at the door" consumer product with larger-than-life spectacle and CG razzle-dazzle.The Blu-ray arrives as a two-disc set with a fantastic, reference-quality audio and video presentation that's sure to make owners feel like they're in the middle of the action. elevate the movie a fair bit, even considering that it threatens to get lost in the mayhem and behind the top-billed performers.

It's just the start of a great effects presentation, which is prepared to come at you from every angle, and even swoop overhead (shame there's no Dolby Atmos or DTS:X mix) as the skies come to life with angry creatures. the lower light command center shots tend to push mildly dull, that can likely be attributed to set lighting rather than a flaw in the transfer.

Which makes it all the wonder why Trevorrow chose instead to cut a decent prologue (reinstated here) in favour of. In that time, he managed to somehow edit almost every single scene badly, make the narrative incoherent, highlight the terrible performances from an utterly switched-off cast, and polish it up meticulously, fashioning an end result which - inexplicably - looks like it was shot by some DTV hack whose go-to actor is normally Steven Seagal.

The Blu-ray also includes the 161-minute extended cut of the movie, adding fourteen minutes of character development and some action filler that surprisingly works to the movie's benefit.

A crisp, brilliant contrast allows for extraordinary visibility in the distance, exposing the tops of trees along the hills and the fine lines of the various buildings scattered throughout the amusement park. It's also worth mentioning I detected a couple instances of very trivial aliasing along the finest metallic lines on the exterior of buildings, but thankfully, it's nothing too egregious to completely ruin the film's enjoyment.

Updated daily and in real-time, we track all high-def disc news and release dates, and review the latest disc titles. violence and action scenes in full bloom, not to mention a fairly healthy dose of horror cues mixed in as well. Jurassic World Dominion enjoys both cuts on the 4K disc, the theatrical cut and the director's preferred extended cut which is around 14 minutes longer.Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom: It's been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Paying tribute to the films that have come before - perhaps most obviously the first film - Jurassic World also fuses plenty of other ideas into the mix, some of which late Jurassic Park novelist Michael Crichton would have hopefully been proud of (he attempted some animal training in Congo, for better or worse) and plenty of which audiences will lap up (the Aliens-inspired motion-detector sequences make for a clever way of keeping within the boundaries of the increasingly malleable PG-13 rating whilst still delivering on the tension front).
