About this deal

The names seem interchangeable and can be confusing, but they’re really immaterial. Underneath, the cameras are all the same. And that essentially covers how to use this camera on land. Read the manual, use fresh film, and your photos will be properly focused and properly exposed a better-than-average 95% of the time. Did I expect to enjoy it so much? No, I thought it would be some fun, but it was that, and a whole lot more. The quality that it produces is way beyond what I expected and for such a low price. If you have a chance to buy one, jump on it, regardless of the name printed on it. Buy it, use it, and if you have more than one camera, keep it in your rotation during summer. There is a distincitve glowy rendition to the Zoom XL, almost as if a diffusion filter had been placed on it. I’m pretty sure I had given both the front and rear elements a bit of a rub with a lens cloth before the shoot, and I don’t seen any defects within the lens itself so I’m inclined to think this is its natural behaviour. I hadn’t noticed this diffuse glow when shooting the XL on its own, only when I placed the shots side by side with the 24-105. Either the Zoom XL has a built in diffusion filter, or I didn’t clean my lens 🙂 Okay, enough of that. There’s plenty of cameras I’d rather have. Hell, there’s plenty of other cameras I do have that are far superior, but there’s none I care so little about. That’s unique. No other camera of mine holds that distinction. There’s not a camera I’d rather be carrying if I drank a bottle of Jameson and fell into a swimming pool (purely hypothetical). I’d be delighted I had my Canon Sure Shot Max and not one of those high end compacts. Kodak 400 TX Kodak 400TX

And I love this underwater camera, the one that I’ve spent the past few weeks shooting, just the same. It’s a fun, dead simple camera that makes great pictures (even if I’m too cowardly to use it in the ocean). Personalized Shot Board Ski, Custom Ski for Weddings, Gift, Bachelorette Party, Bachelor Party, and Bridal Shower. W/Two Glass Shot Glasses.I’ve enjoyed shooting half frame 35mm film photography for quite some time now. Of course, being a broke college student, the thought of 72 photos in a roll is quite intriguing. However, it’s not all about the money; I feel that this “abundance” of shots also provides a new perspective when walking around and shooting. I’m more willing to take “risky” shots when it’s just 1/72nd of my roll, I’m not taking things so seriously, and – while perhaps not portfolio-worthy – I end up with a multitude of fond memories and surprisingly sharp images. Hey Oli. Thanks for letting me know this review was useful and I’m happy you like your Sure Shot. 🙂 One gripe I do have is that while the frame lines being so central is handy, they do seem to get lost in bright light. I struggled to see them on occasion leading to a few framing mistakes. Have a look at the view through the viewfinder in the camera specifics section above, you can see how easily they disappear even though are well defined.

Metering Range (at ISO 100) – Flash Auto and Flash On modes 1/60 f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV9.5-17); Flash Off mode 2 seconds f/3.5-1/250 f/22 (EV3-17) So what better place to start than a camera like the Canon Sure Shot EX…? As I’ve said, it was free anyway, and the film was very cheap – so what did it matter if the snaps didn’t come out very good?! I made a bunch of good photos. A good photographer could probably make great photos. I love my A1. With our unpredictable British weather it gets a lot of use – it’s essentially my go to point and shoot when I don’t want to risk anything else in a downpour. The output is so much better than you would expect for something that looks like it was made by Fisher-Price.The camera grip is slanted so you don’t have to squint. The camera’s curving and rounded exterior was well received. The camera won many awards including the Good Design Award from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. In 1986, it was selected as the European Camera of the Year.
