The flavour
Taste: Developing on the tongue – layers of vibrant and tropical fruit, with a distinct creamy vanilla flavor. The Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve falls under the category of blended Scotch whisky. Like other Scotch whisky brands, it has an alcohol content of 40% Alcohol By Volume (ABV) or 80 US Proof. You have to try this. It’s so complex and tasty. I drink meet but with just a tiny cube to chill it out. ? It’s built around a core of single malt whisky from Clynelish, but also features spirit from the likes of Cardhu, Blair Athol, and grain whisky from Cameronbridge, all chosen for their sweet, honeyed qualities. It’s delicious neat but also mixes well, like in serves such as the bespoke Gold & Apple created especially for this blend (recipe below). Although we think for the best effect, you should drink it while singing Spandau Ballet’s classic ‘Gold’. That’s what we do.

Alexander had previously apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
